Yes...but publishing non saleable books makes the job of marketing people difficult. Commissioning editors without market knowledge select such manuscripts for publishing. Freshers without any knowledge are selected as publishing executives and promoted to the top and they are dismissed after 10 years. By then the company would have fallen into a crisis. Chief editors and managing directors should not be appointed as a promotion posting. They must be individuals with vision of what books willl sell and not people who publish their friends and relatives. When Punjabi becomes the chief she brings a lot of punjabees and Bengali publishes only Bengalees. When Malayali becomes the chief she forces all her friends and relatives to become authors. In between real writers are ignored.

It's pretty funny! .. How amazing these guys are. I just had a meeting yesterday with højkant and they already hit their Q1 target. And we are starting to hire fulltime employees for the team to keep up. Here are some tips based on the first 6 month of this investment: - Implement a clear framwork for the conversation between investor and the company. We are using a light version of EOS to keep track of our rocks and weekly issues - Take some time to work on the strategy. Time that has to be outside of the everyday tasks - Use smaller cases to land bigger deals later. Make sure always to have a high level of quality and it will come back to you at a later stage - Share your knowledge at fairs or events. For free.
