Qualitative Recruitment | Curious Learner | Problem Solver | Consultative Business Development Partner
The year is winding down, but L&E still has knowledge to share! Learn how to boost your quality control when engaging a qualitative panel and partners. Sometimes it may be cheaper and faster to offer a Quant solution to your business partners, afterall, the insights are in the data right? But does cheaper and faster truly provide the insights your teams need to see to make every critical business decision? I've talked with several brand clients lately that said they are leery of suggesting qualitative methodologies because they or mainly their business partners just aren't comfortable/confident with what they have to offer. If you find yourself or your team in that situation, reach out. I'd be happy to have a broad discussion and see if/how Qual work might be able to help you and your team create more compelling insights for your organization in 2024. #qualitativeresearch #insights #focusgroups #IHUT #OLBB #DiaryStudies #OneOnoOne #ethnography #shopalong #selftest

Really good session for anyone interested in good practices around qualitative #research and timely too as I write up my #NHS #research. Qualitative research is still very much following the formats for quantitative research reporting which can be constraining and unhelpful at points so there is a need to develop good robust practices for reporting qual.

The key point is sadly missing: READ THE F*CKING PAPER(S). If you want to evaluate someone, that's the only reliable way. But it is time consuming. So evaluation should be rare, but thorough. Proxys / Indicators are only useful the day they are created: the next day, people learn how to game them.
DORA’s guidance on responsible use of quantitative indicators in research assessment has 5 principles for use, including: 💡 Be clear: What is the rationale for using particular indicators, is it grounded in good evidence? Read the other principles 👇 https://lnkd.in/eNKv_cAP
