SRS Collision Checks with AlignRT Something I’ve found useful is utilizing AlignRT for SRS collision checks before the day of treatment. In addition to the patient’s treatment ROI, I’ll create an ROI just on the patient’s mask and label it “Dry Run”. The therapists will then use this ROI to quickly and confidently reproduce the patient’s setup with the mask and Encompass board and check gantry/couch combinations from the patient’s plan. #MedicalPhysics #MedicalPhysicist #ArtOfMedicalPhysics #VisionRT #AlignRT #SRS

Shimadzu Medical Systems USA is excited to announce the release of our next-generation general radiography system, RADspeed Pro SR5 Version. The SR5 offers completely redesigned controls for performing radiography using a console with more effortless operability and better visibility. The handle shape of the X-ray tube support has been improved for easier gripping. The "VISION SUPPORT" imaging assistance function (optional), which mounts an optical camera to the X-ray irradiation field, allows the overlay of the patient's image on the monitor with the X-ray irradiation area and the position of the X-ray detector. This supports the smooth determination of imaging positions, which is usually time-consuming. If the patient moves from the determined position, the optical camera detects the movement and notifies with sound and display, reducing the risk of retakes.
