A few days ago I spoke with the US State Insurance Department of one of the top 4 largest States. They told me they believe insurance is a key financial product that should be considered alongside banking with reference to Dodd-Frank Section 1033 – That consumers should have control over data concerning their financial lives. Which includes their insurance data. At the same time, insurance carriers are calling us to streamline sales and servicing. They want complete & verified data from the source of truth. Integrated into their tools to get things done faster. It’s truly a gift to build critical infrastructure that’s helping guide the future of insurance sales, servicing and verification. 1moOne of the biggest headaches in regards to insurance is within the retail mortgage side of the business. It should be an easy process to update carriers for lenders/servicers when homeowners change coverages but it isn’t, unless of course there’s a platform that can aid carriers and mortgage companies in doing so. I’ve worked with many national lenders and large banks over a decade, and it’s always been a major pain point.
