Turkey is a fabulous trade partner to Middle East, Europe and USA. Day by day more USA companies are selecting Turkish factories asspecially at Furniture, Homeware , Home textile industry as it has big logistics advantages at delivery to East USA coasts and ports. Presently it takes 30-37 days from Turkey ports to USA with around 3200 usd / 1 x40 Hq containers. It seems that more USA companies will select Turkey/Turkiye as partner at year 2024.

I help American Brands Transition their Manufacturing Away from China | Sourcing & Procurement | Vietnam Manufacturing | Supplier Relations
Making (Manufacturing) Moves: Part 3: Who is Vietnam right for? So China is a problem and Vietnam could be a solution. For who? Vietnam is known for being home to several thriving industries: - Textile/Apparel/Footwear - Furniture & Housewares - Electronics - Machinery & Hardware - Raw goods: Coffee, Coconut, Fish, and others Of course, each of these categories has many subcategories and some are more common here than others. For now, we're most focused on Furniture & Housewares, and Vietnam is strongest in Indoor/Outdoor wooden furniture, steel products, and natural items made from wicker and rattan. Recently, there has also been a spike in upholstered furniture- sofas, recliners, etc. Items made from plastic, require advanced technology to manufacture, or that have many more complexities or components than standard products, all tend to be more difficult and more expensive to produce in Vietnam. While these items are beginning to be more frequently produced here, it's mostly just for the domestic market and is not yet competitive enough for export. Smaller quantity orders tend to be more difficult here in Vietnam, as factories are not as motivated to work with such buyers. China has a uniqueness to it when it comes to low MOQ that sometimes isn't appreciated until attempting to run production elsewhere. Buyers that are placing larger frequent orders will have more options of who they can work with and can significantly mitigate costs by investing in the right machinery and/or purchasing and importing components from China at higher qtys. Overall, Vietnam works great for some. Not as great for others. We need to factor in a variety of information to decide where to manufacture anything. - Materials and Production costs - Tariff Rates - Production Lead-times - MOQs and Production Capacity per Month - Shipping Rates and Transit Times - Forecast of Future Significant Impacts- Tariffs, Sactions, Shipping Disruptions The above factors as well as several others will all impact a company's decision on where to manufacture their products. I hope this has been insightful, feel free to reach out with any questions, comments, compliments, or feedback. Have a great day! #Vietnam #China #tradewar #productsourcing #manufacturing #furniture #factories #supplychain #globaltrade #importexport
