🔍 Researchers have unveiled a groundbreaking framework tailored for accountability advocates and practitioners. Born out of the SPARK program, this framework offers a structured approach to interpreting government responses to citizen-led accountability initiatives. By unpacking diverse government reactions into categories such as responsiveness and accountable responsiveness (RRA), it equips advocates with the tools needed to navigate complex landscapes and make informed decisions about their advocacy strategies. This framework not only facilitates a deeper understanding of government behavior but also empowers advocates to drive meaningful change. With its emphasis on monitoring, evaluating, and learning (MEL), it fosters evidence-based adaptive programming, ensuring that advocacy efforts are effective and responsive to the evolving needs of marginalized communities. Explore how the RRA framework is reshaping the accountability landscape and enhancing the collective agency of marginalized groups. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eUU5_6WF #Accountability #Advocacy #RRAFramework #SPARKProgram #GovernmentResponsiveness Jonathan Fox Brendan Halloran Alta Fölscher Rosie McGee Accountability Research Center Accountability Lab Accountable Now Transparency International Michael Jarvis Eszter Filippinyi Cristina Ordóñez Yery Menendez Garcia

Although the overall trend with youth crime is declining, there is significant public concern and debate about this issue. Justice reinvestment, “place-based, data-driven and evidence-based community solutions developed through community-based leadership and partnerships”, is one approach to addressing youth crime. A new paper in AJSI by Haysom documents its history and opportunities in Australia. https://lnkd.in/gm3C7r8A

NEW: How did trauma-informed policies and legislation fare in Congress and state legislatures in 2023? Explore our analysis: https://loom.ly/11aZsZo Rather than simply including bills that merely mention “trauma-informed” in passing, the most recent report is the result of intentional analysis that considers factors such as SAMHSA’s “4 Rs” framework, the principles of a trauma-informed approach, as well as allied frameworks connected to redressing cycles of collective and historical trauma such as principles CTIPP includes under the umbrella of ABDEIJ (Accessibility, Belonging, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice).

Insights from the Manifest CHOICE Session at #HIVR4P2024 “Advocacy should focus on CHOICE rather than individual products” The session highlighted the feasibility of offering diverse PrEP choices, with strong community, political, and technical leadership contributing to success. However, challenges remain in product quantification, balancing re-testing and dropouts, and ensuring cost sustainability. It is that these existing gaps are addressed. Director at Adelphian Regulatory Consultancy, Founding Director at the Institute of Regulation, girls' mentor, school governor & mother of three
So interesting to discuss with regulators how we engage on equality at today’s Institute of Regulation EDI Group - learning from each other about what went well, as well as what didn’t. Future topics are set to include: research findings on how regulators tackle inequality; and working with equality data. If you’re a regulator and interested to join our friendly group, please to PM me as Chair or email: info@ioregulation.org.uk. We’ve so much to learn from each other!
