🌍🌱 Which Climate Change policies really work?
With thousands of policies to tackle climate change, the crucial question is which of these works, and under what conditions?
The What Works Climate Solutions Summit is bringing together experts in climate science, policy, and evidence synthesis to explore this idea.
By focusing on evidence-based solutions, we can ensure that policies are not just well-intentioned but truly effective. 🌎💡

Recently, Imagine5 had an interesting conversation with Mike Berners-Lee, diving into our understanding of carbon footprints and fostering honest dialogues about climate change.
Just as we all understand the basics of money, understanding the carbon impact of things is crucial. The interview talks about carbon facts, including the answer to the question, 'How bad are bananas?' 🍌
Beyond that, it emphasises the vital need for open and truthful discussions on climate change, especially from our elected officials.

🌍 **Great News! More people care about our Climate Future than we think! 🌱**
Sir Bill Gates has recently shared an insightful study highlighting that more individuals are prioritizing our climate's future. This is incredibly encouraging news! When we recognize that others share our commitment to addressing climate change, it inspires collective action.
At Workmate, we believe in aligning our actions with our values, especially when it comes to climate change. As part of our commitment to sustainability and supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, we're embracing climate actions in every aspect of our operations.
For instance, we're transitioning our sales meetings online, reducing the need for in-person travel and minimizing our carbon footprint. By embracing digital platforms, we're not just adapting to the current landscape but also contributing to a greener future.
Let's continue to amplify this momentum and work together towards a more sustainable and resilient planet. Every action, no matter how small, makes a difference. Together, we can build a brighter future for generations to come. 🌟

More people care about our climate future than we think—which is good news, because we’re all more likely to take action when we know others are willing to do the same. https://b-gat.es/3UkD54W
Some of you were curious about the Summit’s programme, so here are some updates.
We've been overwhelmed by the incredible response to our call for abstracts, thank you to everyone who submitted abstracts! 🚀
However, with so many high-quality submissions, we had some tough decisions to make. Not all abstracts could be accepted, but we're happy to say that all the Summit topics are well represented:
1️⃣ Climate Policy (Instrument) Evaluation: 117 abstracts accepted
2️⃣ Climate Solutions & Health: 42 abstracts accepted
3️⃣ Climate Solutions for Cities and Other Human Settlements: 52 abstracts accepted
4️⃣ Climate Solutions for Land Use: 15 abstracts accepted
5️⃣ Other: 35 abstracts accepted
These abstracts will be grouped in parallel sessions with 5-6 presentations in each, whereby every presenter will have 10 minutes for their input, followed by a 5-minute discussion.🗣 We are working hard and aim to provide you with the details by the end of the month. There will be an update via email, and on our website: https://lnkd.in/ezzW8DWR
A huge congratulations to all the accepted presenters! 🎉 Your contributions will play a vital role in shaping discussions and driving evidence-based climate action.
For those whose abstracts weren't selected, we sincerely appreciate your efforts.
We're looking forward to the Summit and the opportunity to delve into these critical topics with experts from around the globe. Stay tuned for more updates, and feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.

I ABSOLUTELY SEE NOTHING WRONG WITH CRYPTOCURRENCY.
I CAN UNDERSTAND WHY THE INFANT DEMOCRATIC-CAPITALISTIC MINDS OF TODAY BLAME THE USA GOVERNMENT. THAT SAID THEN IS ANY GOVERNMENT TO BE BLAMED FOR THE HOMELESS PROBLEMS PLAGUING THE WORLD.?... NO. GOD KNOWS ALL THE HEADACHES USA GOVERNMENT HAVE WITH THE FOREIGN AFFAIRS. THE NEW WORLD IS PRACTICALLY A SHOCK TO WITNESS. PEOPLE "ONLY WORKING" TOGETHER FOR A COMMON GOAL... "IN THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS." THUS DOESN'T THAT ALSO INCLUDE THE HOMELESS. THE HOMELESS ARE OUT THERE...
ARE YOU.?
HOMELESS A OPPORTUNITY MISUNDERSTOOD.....
The modern economic system is a market economy, which is a capitalist economy where people, not the government--NOT THE GOVERNMENT--own most businesses. In a capitalist economy, prices allocate capital and labor between competing uses, and capital assets like factories, mines, and railroads can be privately owned and controlled.
https://lnkd.in/eB98Jnv9 GOOGLE.
EXAMPLE, IF YOU NEED TO RAISE MONEY FOR ANY REASON OR MORE SO LETS SAY THE "HOMELESS" PROBLEM WHICH IS BELIEVED TO BE TIME & MONEY CONSUMING BUT IN ONE DIRECTION TOWARD THE HOMELESS.
HOWEVER CRYPTOCURRENCY CAN POSSIBLE ALLOWS AN EXPENDITURE OF CURRENCY TO BENEFIT ALL WHO USES THE CRYPTO & REGARDLESS OF HOW IT'S CONSUMED.
THEREFORE IF A CRYPTO "HOMELESS" CURRENCY EXISTED IT'S MORE HIGHLY LIKELY THAT THE HOMELESS PROBLEM CAN BE VANQUISHED BECAUSE CURRENCY-FINANCES IT'S ALWAYS AVAILABLE TO BE TAPPED INTO FOR HOMELESS RESOLUTIONS.
THANK YOU FOR READING.

Have you thought about making an end of year donation to fund climate solutions? I just donated to Project Drawdown, a tax deductible US-based non-profit. Why? Because in 2024, they need funds to launch 5 initiatives that accelerate the adoption of proven climate strategies: (1) a global solutions video diary of climate champions sharing their stories, (2) a global ad campaign of solutions to inspire hope and action, (3) a coalition of scientists to support climate investors for maximum impact, (4) biodiversity initiatives and (5) food, agriculture & land use initiatives. Let's do this!
📢 Are you communicating on climate change in the lead up to the UK General Election? 📢
Then this is the guide for you. Climate Outreach are working to ensure people trust, support and have a say in the changes we must make to tackle climate change. They have distilled some key recommendations for getting the climate story right as we head to the polls.
🤔 What do people in Scotland think and feel about climate change and climate policy? And how do we involve and engage everyone when we talk about it?
📺 We were joined by a fab group to delve into our #BritainTalksClimate#Scotland insights yesterday from our new research with More in Common. In case you missed it, or just want to see it again, you can watch back here: https://lnkd.in/eRuV5mzp
"I think it's about working out who it is you're trying to communicate with and using the research to really make sure you're tailoring your messages and communicating in a way that resonates well with them." - Becky Kenton-Lake from Stop Climate Chaos Scotland.
"Make sure that the story is one that feels like it is talking to Scotland right now, and what people care about right now, and that [...] this net zero thing is felt to be real and felt to be of benefit to people." - David Powell
"Just transition doesn't mean a lot to people when it's not tied to jobs or bills or regeneration or any of those kind of things. So the way to kind of internalize some of this research is actually both from a policy perspective and communications perspective." - Conleth Burns from More in Common
