I’ll admit that this one might be a little bit obvious. Successful entrepreneurs aren’t successful within a vacuum. We all have a great team and support network behind us. When I recommend hiring great partners, I don’t just mean someone who can do the job you’re hiring them for. You should seek partners who have great character and whom you like and respect. You and your partners will be working long hours together and making stressful decisions. If you don’t respect your partner(s), your team won’t last long. Fill your team with people who have great character and you’re well on your way to success. When choosing your partners and team members, always remember that you can teach skills, but you can’t teach character.

My thoughts: Firing employees after they’ve been hired can often be more costly for a company than for the employee. Once an employee has joined and started working, the company has invested a significant amount of time—the most valuable resource—into onboarding and training them. The employee has learned about the company’s culture, work style, management, and future strategy. There are two main issues with firing at this stage: The invested time is wasted, as the employee was just about to start contributing meaningfully. After spending months learning their role and the company's expectations, their departure means the company has to start the hiring and training process all over again. The company’s confidential information has already been shared with the employee. Once disclosed, it can't be taken back, and the employee might share it with their next employer. Therefore, companies should invest in their HR functions to minimize employee turnover and firing rates. #HRmanagement #EmployeeRetention.
I suck at hiring. I can't hire and...no one can either. It's one giant coin flip. Here is what I learned from running a business for 5 years.

Vladimir, what the heck is Market Intelligence? After receiving several questions of this nature from my network, I feel a strong need to explain what I do. Let's dive in! Every company wants to grow its revenue, right? To increase a company's revenue from 0 to 1 M€, you need a very specific startup team—something I've been doing for the past five years, but that's not the current topic. To grow a company's revenue from 1 to 10 M€, you need to solidify your processes and organization, essentially scaling your sales team. However, using the same strategy won't allow you to grow from 10 to 100 M€. This is where, in addition to a solid and professional sales team, we need to add market intelligence. The mission is as follows: create new business directions. The goal of my team is to launch up to 10 new businesses within the company per year, all with as little technical development as possible. How does it happen? I take both successful and unsuccessful projects of the company and extract the core value propositions. Then, I build a product, position it in selected markets, and propose a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, including forecasts for turnover and margins. If you feel like you know how to do it, reach me out we are still hiring!

I have found that one of the hidden roles of a mediator extends beyond resolving disputes alone. In some cases, mediators are needed to guide parties through the implementation phase of the agreement and ensure that the terms and conditions agreed upon are followed through to completion. By acting as a guiding entity, mediators assist parties navigate through challenges, promote collaboration, and ensure that the final results are mutually beneficial. It is important to hire effective mediators who understand the importance of this role and are willing to go above and beyond to help parties resolve conflicts and reach lasting agreements.

I make writing cold emails easy for entrepreneurs and sales teams 🚀 Growth @ Woodpecker | Consultant
"I saw...", "I noticed...", "My name is..." - cold email words that scream "SPAM!" Don’t trigger prospects' Mental Spam Filters with a poor choice of words. Do this instead: Think what an average rep would do and do the opposite. Get straight to the point: • Matt - as you're hiring 2 BDRs... • Yurii - your CEO Matt mentioned that... • Arthur - with a multi-national team in 3 countries… • Margaret - in Woodpecker’s annual report expansion to DACH... Subject line + first line of an email = the most important real estate. Approach it strategically. What are your cold email openers? PS. Want to write Cold Emails that start WARM conversations? DM me “COLD” and let's see if we're fit to work together ($). First come, first served.
