In total, she spent 40 years with the firm, 31 as a partner. At 28, she became the first African woman to make partner at the firm. She was also the first female in PwC Africa to serve as a regional CEO. Since retiring in 2018, she has taken on several non-executive director roles of both listed and unlisted firms including Jumia Group, AAFC - African Asset Finance Company, Raxio Group and CGIAR. In this wide-ranging conversation, Anne reflects on how financial reporting has changed over the years, how African business leaders can best prepare for taking their companies public, and what makes a good non-executive director.
