Talent Development Leader | NSDC Certified Psychometric Counsellor | Blended Learning | Training Design| Instructional Design | eLearning | Behaviour Assessment | Gamified Learning | Learning and Development | NLP
When conversations make you think beyond your routine, learning happens and that becomes the starting point of a growth journey. In today's ReThinkHR session in Pune has raised some thought-provoking ideas on how Talent can be managed and developed today in the Times of changing work dynamics. Digital Transformation, hybrid workplaces, and best practices were some highlighted themes discussed. From these I could gather some points to remember: - When adopting technology, think about what you require before you acquire. It's not the best software that you need but the software that is best for you because it meets your business and talent needs - Digital transformation is more a cultural change than technological. The challenge is more due to resistance in people and lack of clarity on where they are going. - There are different ways to solve different business problems. Employee retention is not always about increasing compensation but also about engagement, recognition, training, support, inclusion, flexibility, and more - Learning has become a key to developing employees but since the needs of employees are different, the approach would also need to be different. Persolized learning, competency based development plans, mentorship, and leadership pipeline develop could be a few ways to maximize the impact of learning on business A wonderful session it is and I definitely enjoyed the WFH/WFO debate 😁 #learninganddevelopment #hr #digitaltransformation #talentmanagement #ReThinkHR

My team and I recently had the privilege of speaking with Mrs. Binu Mathew, the Head of Human Resources for HP Inc. in the India Market. With over 21 years of HR experience across multiple industries, Ma'am has been at the forefront of strategic talent management and employee engagement initiatives. Her vast experience includes navigating complex HR challenges, such as mergers and acquisitions, made her insights invaluable. During our session on February 9, 2024, held over Zoom, Ma'am shared profound insights into the evolving landscape of HR, especially in today's dynamic work environment. Here are some key takeaways from the discussion: Evolution of HR in Remote and Hybrid Work Models: Ma'am emphasized how HR has transitioned from traditional compliance and recruitment roles to focusing on employee experience and well-being. HP has successfully managed this shift by investing in digital collaboration tools and trusting employees' autonomy, fostering a high-performance and agile culture. Impact of Artificial Intelligence on HR: She highlighted the transformative role of AI in talent acquisition, particularly through tools like Eightfold AI. These technologies automate candidate sourcing, reduce biases in hiring, and create a level playing field for all candidates, including those from diverse backgrounds. Employee Well-being Initiatives: Ma'am discussed HP's comprehensive approach to employee well-being. Initiatives like the "Me Day" for personal recharge, peer support networks, and targeted cancer prevention programs demonstrate HP's commitment to holistic employee care. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): HP's DEI efforts are extensive, supporting women, persons with disabilities, the LGBTQ+ community, and younger talent. Ma'am stressed the importance of a diverse workforce and the need to support groups that are not given equal opportunity. Balancing Digital Transformation with Human Connection: Ma'am emphasized the importance of integrating AI in HR while maintaining the human aspect of employee engagement and development. She pointed out that while AI can displace certain roles, it also creates opportunities for HR to evolve and focus on more strategic, value-driven tasks. A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Binu Mathew for sharing her expertise and enriching our understanding of modern HR practices. We also extend our gratitude to our HRM teacher, Prof. Dr.Lakshmi R B, for providing us with this incredible opportunity to learn and grow. #HRInsights #TalentManagement #EmployeeEngagement #ArtificialIntelligence #DiversityAndInclusion #WorkplaceWellbeing #LeadershipDevelopment

"Tech is a Tool, People are the Core" says Sanjay Bose, EVP and Head - HR at ITC Hotels Sanjay breaks it down: while technology accelerates communication and personalizes experiences, the core of people management—values, motives, culture—remains unchanged. 🔑 Key Insights: 1️⃣ Tech enhances speed but doesn’t alter fundamental HR principles. 2️⃣ The medium has shifted from letters to chat, but the intent behind communication remains the same. 3️⃣ Use technology to leverage data and improve employee experience, talent management, and engagement. 💡 The Takeaway: Tech is an enabler, not a replacement for human leadership and culture. ETHR Day 2 #ETHRNextech HR Summit India at The Leela Ambience, Gurugram Upskilling the Youth for Job-Readiness: An Antidote to the Raging Skill Crisis with Vishpala Reddy, Prasanth Nair, Sameer Wadhawan, Anurag Patnaik moderated brilliantly by Ankit Aggarwal As technological advancements shift the nucleus of the work world, employers increasingly depend on campuses to cross the skill chasm and meet future talent requirements. Talent is a boardroom strategy, and decision-makers rely profoundly on academia to churn out a highly deployable, job-ready workforce, actively playing a role in its transformational endeavors in the digital age. However, the road between the campus and the workplace is often, if not always, long and bumpy, creating the biggest talent paradox--a war for talent and unemployability that exists at the same time. Key Takeaways: 1. Getting the right talent at the right skill requirement is extremely important. When you don't get the right match, see how close the match is and be ready to train the gap. 2. Right policies and education plays a vital role in creating a diverse pool of talent in addition to partnership with local governments to drive the right initiatives. 3. Are we hiring people who are passionate about the role they want to deliver? 4. Organization readiness that allows talent to prosper. It's time to review our hiring processes, one size doesn't fit all. 5. Tap talent from different parts of India to bring in diverse pools. 6. Potential vs Proficiency - Depends on the role, the job and the level you are hiring. Potential is a difficult measure to assess at the time of interviewing the candidate. 7. Learner centricity is very important to bring in the right skillet. ETHRWorld #humanenablement

Grateful for the enriching experience at the RethinkHR: India's Fastest Growing HR Platform, where the theme of decoding, discovering, and determining the quantum shift of HR took center stage. Reflecting on key takeaways: - Culture is a Wearable, Not an Overnight Attire: A reminder that building a resilient company culture is a gradual process, requiring thoughtful investment and a sustained commitment. - Culture is About People, Invest Wisely - Navigating Digital Transformation with a Human Touch: Recognizing the necessity of maintaining the human element amidst digital transformations, and emphasizing the importance of evaluating organizational capability versus capacity. The insightful words of Verna Myers resonate: "Diversity is being invited to the party. Inclusion is being asked to dance." Taking it a step further, belonging involves contributing to the dance playlist and feeling free to invite anyone to join. Special thanks to Raymond Lifestyle for facilitating my attendance at this transformative event. #lifeatraymond
