Controlling someone's life and upending it with just a flick of finger is something that many managers thrive upon. The most prominent example of this is Rejecting leave applications of an employee at the last minute. Then seeing the employee cancelling their tickets and plans while still coming to the office on the day when they planned to be on the holiday. Or Not approving the leave application until the employee has not reached out to you via email, slack, WhatsApp and a personal call. Another example is; Reviewing a perfectly made presentation and then scolding the employee for missing a "." or a comma and saying that its for the greater good of the employee's well-rounded development. All this is top notch sadistic pleasure. And guess what would be the ultimate pinnacle of this pleasure. Firing someone and upending their lives. What if it is more than 1 person. More the merrier. That's why I say if you give your life's remote control to someone else, then be assured that it can go in any direction. 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲. Start creating more income stream apart from your monthly salary. Start a side hustle. Invest in real estate and stocks and mutual funds. Keep money backed up for at least 6-8 months. And keep upskilling yourself. If you can be the best employee for your company.
