During my vacation I was thinking a lot about my place in the world, how I got here, and do I have any impact. Reflecting on my career journey, I am amazed at how far I’ve come and the diverse experiences that have shaped me. I began in traditional banking, managing treasury, interbank, foreign currency, and international trade operations. It was a demanding role that taught me the intricacies of financial systems and the importance of precision and reliability. From there, I moved into resolving customer financial, tech, and legal disputes. This was a pivotal phase, as it honed my problem-solving skills and deepened my understanding of client needs. Navigating these complex issues also highlighted the value of empathy and effective communication in building trust and long-term relationships. My transition into tech sales felt like a natural evolution of my career. Leveraging my financial background and dispute resolution experience, I stepped into the world of product and service sales in the tech industry. This shift was driven by a desire to innovate and bring transformative solutions to clients. I found immense satisfaction in helping businesses embrace cutting-edge technologies, from AI to custom software solutions, that drive their growth and efficiency. One of the most rewarding aspects of my role in tech sales is building long-lasting relationships with companies and professionals. These connections are not just about business; they are about fostering collaboration and driving change together. I am passionate about leveraging the newest technologies to make a real impact, whether it’s revolutionizing fintech or other industries. Being a woman in tech has had its challenges, but it has also been incredibly empowering. Each barrier I’ve encountered has strengthened my resolve to push forward and shatter ceilings. I would have never imagined I’d make $1M by 30 as a Tech Seller. 28 years ago this April, my mom and her 3 daughters migrated to the US on a lottery visa with a dream of pursuing more than what we knew was possible. 👩🏾🎓10 yrs later… I was the first in my family to graduate at a 4-year university in the US and I started at one of the best technology companies to work for in the world 👩🏾💻11 years later… I’d made first 6 figures by 22 👩🏾💼19 years later… made 7 figures… and this changed our family’s wealth creating ability for generations. NOTHING prepared me for that. Now, while much of that $1M was spent on buying my mom a house, paying off mine and my sisters’ student loans, buying my first home, etc… What it WASN’T spent on was generational wealth creation strategies.
