We are deeply grateful to Nurx from Thirty Madison for their Reproductive Rights Watch report, which highlights the often-overlooked consequences of the ongoing assault on reproductive rights. This data reflects the reality we navigate with Caraway patients every day: the impact of losing the right to choose extends far beyond family planning. The lack of bodily autonomy profoundly affects the mental health of many individuals who can become pregnant. This underscores our commitment to integrated care. Effectively supporting sexual and reproductive health must also address mental health, whether it involves understanding the stress that might delay a woman’s period or acknowledging the history of depression that could make her apprehensive about hormonal birth control side effects. We uphold the highest standards in patient privacy and security to ensure patients always feel safe with our clinicians, trusting that their information and decisions remain solely their own. Evidence-based, patient-centered healthcare will always drive better outcomes than choices dictated by political agendas.

🚨 The Reproductive Rights Crisis Impacting Women of Color 🚨 Join us on the latest episode of the RISE Urban Nation Podcast as we take a deep dive into “The Reproductive Rights Crisis for Women of Color.” Our guest sheds light on the profound challenges faced by women of color following the SCOTUS Dobbs decision, highlighting the devastating impacts on access to reproductive and prenatal care. 🤰 In states like Alabama, two-thirds of the region lacks adequate access to prenatal and birthing services, forcing women to travel extensive distances for care. This scarcity is compounded by restrictive laws and high rates of maternal mortality, illustrating a crisis that extends far beyond the issue of abortion. 🔗 This episode is a critical exploration of how these issues interconnect and the disproportionate effect on communities of color. 💬 We invite you to engage with this vital topic: How do you think communities and policymakers can address these disparities in reproductive health services? Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments. 👍 Like, comment, and share this post to raise awareness about this urgent issue. Listen to the full discussion on our podcast to get a comprehensive understanding of the stakes involved. #ReproductiveRights #WomenOfColor #HealthcareDisparity #RISEUrbanNation

#wednesdayWonderings Another day, another setback for women’s rights in the USA. Can’t say I am surprised, but sure am disappointed on behalf of American women. After the constitutional right to abortion was revoked by Trump-appointed Supreme Court Judges, the latest change is an Alabama court declaring that frozen embryos are considered children. Yes you read that right. What the implications are for families and women trying to conceive via IVF are, we don’t yet know. Alabaman IVF clinics have paused all services whilst they figure it out. What we do know is that it means a 13 year old rape victim who becomes pregnant in Alabama cannot have a legal abortion, whereas a 35 year old women who needs help conceiving likely can’t access IVF. My frustration is immense. Just let women look after their own bodies and reproductive rights. I’m sure if men were the ones having children, it would be an entirely different story. #reproductivehealth #reproductiverights #womenshealth #womensrights Read more - https://lnkd.in/gUjG-f5c

Just how difficult has the reproductive care environment become for women? As restrictions to care continue to be implemented in states like Iowa, results from Nurx’s Reproductive Rights Watch 2024 shed light on how these restrictions further complicate access to women’s health: - Over a third of women are facing longer than usual wait times due to restrictive reproductive care environments - Over a third of women are now using Telehealth due to the political environment - A quarter of women have experience judgment or shame in in-person provider settings Women’s healthcare experiences are paramount to driving health outcomes - which is why our focus should be on broadening access, not restricting it. At Thirty Madison, we spend a lot of time talking about women’s health - how we can make a difference for patients, improve their outcomes, and overcome barriers to make care more accessible. And while I am deeply proud of the work we’ve done in this space, I know we can do more. Our recent survey, titled Reproductive Rights Watch 2024: How Women are Responding to the Shifting Care Landscape, further highlights why the time for action is now. Women are feeling anxious about their reproductive rights and their ability to access care and contraception. Just a few of the findings: 38% of women are facing longer than usual wait time to see in-person reproductive and sexual health providers 1 in 4 women have experience judgment or shame from their medical provider regarding their reproductive and sexual health concerns To support women and their reproductive freedoms, Nurx is launching an initiative focused on educating women about their reproductive and sexual healthcare choices to support them in taking meaningful actions to drive change. I’m incredibly proud of the team that put this work together and look forward to what we will accomplish in the months ahead. To learn more insights we uncovered from the survey, view the full report on: Nurx.com: Nurx.com/repro-rights-2024
