BREEAM V7 is coming in 2024 The BUILDING RESEARCH ESTABLISHMENT LIMITED has just published a brief consultation report on the new version of BREEAM to be published in the New Year. Key take aways are: - Combining In Use, Refurbishment and New Construction into 1 single method - Aligning Embodied Carbon to align fully with RICS and requirements for Benchmarking across all building types - Inclusion of Operational Energy modelling for all buildings and assessment types - More emphasis on Performance Outcomes and less on processes This will change the way that buildings are assessed when using BREEAM in a significant way and we shall keep you up to date as more detail becomes available.
