We zijn trots om te kunnen melden dat QDP de Europa Cup alvast in huis heeft gehaald!
Oké, oké, we weten dat de officiële Europa Cup 2024 nog volop bezig is, maar dat kon ons enthousiasme niet temperen.
Deze speciale trofee hebben we met behulp van 3D-printen gecreëerd. Het is een symbool van onze toewijding aan innovatie en ons streven om altijd de beste te zijn in wat we doen.
We willen deze gelegenheid ook aangrijpen om onze steun te betuigen aan alle teams die nog volop strijden om de echte Europa Cup. We wensen jullie allemaal veel succes! ⚽️

Mooie bijkomstigheid was dat we ‘s-avonds het Nederlands elftal mochten zien winnen in de UEFA Fanzone.
Is it inspiring to see national team athletes at the same race as you, or even better, you can compete against them? In the Netherlands, but also here in the US, there are very few opportunities to see the best of your country compete when you are a young and aspiring athlete. Elite athletes are having an increased workload, a precise training and regatta schedule to follow, but it also isolates them from where they started.
When I was a young athlete I was inspired by seeing the elite athletes at the regattas. It certainly inspired me to row in college and see if I could make the national team. When I was a national team member, the majority of our races were in the Netherlands with just a few races abroad. Nowadays the international schedule is taking the upper hand. Not just with the races, but also with the accompanying training camps.
As an elite athlete you are self centered. You have to be, but I didn’t realize until much later in my rowing career that I had fans. They most likely didn’t go abroad to see me race, they just saw me race at home. To connect or reconnect, can the coach or management create opportunities to have your national heroes compete locally to inspire the next generation? The chase for an Olympic medal is fierce, but you can say the same for recruiting the next generation.

Woensdag gaat in Oman het eerste WK Hockey5s van start, de hockeyvariant van vijf tegen vijf op een klein veld met boarding aan de zij- en achterkanten. Hockey5s is al twee jaar een open laboratorium waarin de nieuwste ontwikkelingen in de hockeysport worden toegepast. In Oman zal dat niet anders zijn.
Niet alleen wordt er voor het eerst op een mondiaal toernooi gespeeld op het kunstgras van de toekomst: droog, zonder besproeiing. Er zal ook een nieuwe bal rollen, eentje die zelf water afgeeft als ie in beweging komt. Bedoeld voor een optimale bal-stick-interactie. De bedenkers van deze 'slimme' sponsbal willen zo de vertrouwde omstandigheden van het hedendaagse hockey zo goed mogelijk nabootsen.
Zo'n waterbal, die na een minuut of vier leeg is, roept natuurlijk een paar praktische vragen op. Dagmar D'Hooghe en Mustafa Erdoç, ontwikkelaars van het Belgische innovatiebedrijf MakinH, geven tekst en uitleg.

Interestingly, cheaply made expensive hardware with old outdated single vascular/vein like this can easily be fooled. I would use patented multi-dimensional vascular/vein biometrics by GlobalEdentity that works on a modern camera phone and has two liveliness detection built-in and thus no expensive hardware is required. KAA Gent is gisteren tijdens de wedstrijd KAA Gent – Standaard Luik gestart met het testen van Palmki als toegang tot bepaalde zones in haar stadion.
Hierdoor hebben KAA Gent en PerfectID de deur naar een nieuwe toekomst geopend m.b.t. toegangsbeheer op voetbalstadions en grote evenementen.

Zwemmer Tjon-A-Joe (Suriname) en levende skilegende Marcel Hirscher (Oostenrijk) komen in het vervolg voor Nederland uit. Eve Stewart maakt een andere beweging. De Amsterdamse roeister won voor Nederland al eens zilver bij de WK tot 23 jaar, maar gaat voor het Verenigd Koninkrijk naar de Olympische Spelen. Zij maakt deel uit van acht-bemanning en kan serieus gaan strijden om de medailles. Stewart heeft een dubbele nationaliteit, maar mag gerust kosmopoliet worden genoemd. Recent matches pose extreme challenges for gaining points, with only very limited opportunities during the games against Westerlo & Eupen (on paper).
Research shows us that firing coaches seldom proves effective, often resulting in successors of similar levels/experience, maintaining the status quo.
Mid-season terminations force clubs to hurriedly opt for unemployed or transitioning coaches, rendering weeks of mid-season preparation futile under new leadership.
This reflects a declining traditional club influenced by a foreign investor, losing the essence and passion for football. The gap between board expectations and player roster quality highlights the club's challenges.
Following KV Oostende's relegation in 1A last season and an imminent bankruptcy, the downfall of KV Kortrijk appears to be imminent as well.

Eindhoven has won all games and has a unbelievable goal-difference of +50.
Even though Feyenord is playing a good season they almost have no chance of competing with Eindhoven, even though Goalimpact believes Feyenoord Rotterdam N.V. has the best individual players.
But also for the ranks 3-5 Goalimpact expects the places to be relatively settled as they are now.
The relegation battle is a bit more exciting with 4 teams namely Almere City FC, RKC Waalwijk, Vitesse Arnhem and FC Volendam competing against going down.
These clubs are also rated by Goalimpact as the weakest ones.

Club Brugge KV u23: passing | receiving
The group is split into 2 groups. Half the players are inside the center circle without a ball. The other half is positioned equidistant around the center circle with 2 balls. One ball will be set as a marker (cone). The players inside the circle (player A) jog around and then quickly (change of pace) check to a player positioned around the center-circle (player B).
When player B sees Player A coming towards he passes him the ball then quickly moves to opposite side of the 2nd ball to receive the ball back from Player A.
Progressions:
1.Player B keeps the ball and, with one touch, slides behind the marker to the other side before playing it back.
2.Player B keeps the ball and, with one touch, in front of the marker with the outside of the foot before playing it back.
