Last week AGRI3 Fund’s Managing Director Deniz Harut and Cardano Development CEO Joost Zuidberg attended the Bridging Africa-Europe SDG Investment Summit in Nairobi, where they teamed up with like-minded investors and explored illustrations and models of Kenya's attractive future as a leading sustainable economy. Deniz visited a number of local companies in the agricultural value chains, including Karakuta Farms (pictured), which produces Global GAP certified Hass avocados and organic herbs that are grown in a controlled production environment (greenhouses and shades) to protect the produce from extreme weather conditions. Attendees of the summit also had the opportunity to visit Bidco Africa, Origin Fresh and SunCulture.
