Habits Count Five years ago I helped a client change one habit that was slowly destroying his life and to this day, he has kept off the 25kgs he lost (over 13 months) and had THREE family holidays. Being in the construction trade meant he was moving more than enough every day, so I didn’t program any exercise for him. We went to the shops to purchase a Fitbit together so I could understand (measure) something though. I provided him with a specific diet plan, but in the first 6 months we had only lost 1.75kgs. He was following the plan, but one of his habits was a little walk to his wife’s place of work and on route, a local cafe owner who they loved to support, especially through covid. Two muffins and two coffees every day, and his wife never ate the whole muffin, so 1.5 muffins later and we had our solution. What changed? We arranged to eat before he walked around to his wife, but still got the two coffees. Supporting local businesses and your health is important, it’s the habits that can make the big difference. #habits #support #diet #breakthrough #wellbeing
