Sharing an excerpt from the foreword I wrote for this transformational book MISSION ACCEPTED: 262 Women Creatives, Ultrapreneurs & Media. "It's a book about GUMPTION" #DebDrummond "Throughout history, the narrative of leadership has often been dominated by the accounts of men. Hidden, was a parallel story of women standing at the forefront; shaping societies, challenging norms, and driving change with resilience and determination. Through this book, you will embark on a journey of sharing the lives and endeavors of these 262 women who have fearlessly ventured into the arena of change. They share their unique gifts and talents and the wisdom they have gained on their journeys, which often involved breaking barriers and shattering ceilings. These women illustrate the power of perseverance and the potency of passion and purpose."

International Female Keynote Speaker 🌟 Emotional Intelligence for Sales and Leadership 🌟 Helping professionals make intentional choices to sell faster, leader better and persuade instantly
Imagine stepping out onto a stage in front of a thousand of the most powerful women in the audience. Each of them a successful entrepreneur, established C-suite leader, or top executive responsible for millions of dollars in revenue, leading vast teams or spearheading transformative initiatives around the world. Just the thought of it can send shivers down anyone's spine, even our male counterparts. But this is exactly how I met Camille Burns for the first time in person. She entered this stage with confidence, grace, and an inspiring presence, representing the Women Presidents Organization (WPO @womenpresidents ) as the top leader she is at a conference where I had the privilege to speak. Her leadership has expanded the WPO from a US-based community to a global powerhouse of 2,000 members, empowering women entrepreneurs across the globe. Given her remarkable achievements and the profound impact she has on women in business, you can imagine how incredibly honored and grateful I am to have Camille Burns contribute the foreword to "The Image of Leadership: A Special Edition for Women." Her insights and dedication to fostering women leaders add immense value to this book. And her contribution is a testament to the book's mission: to empower women to craft a professional identity that leaves a lasting impact. Her foreword sets the stage for a transformative journey, one where women leaders can harness their strengths and navigate the complexities of leadership with confidence and authenticity. Ready to also be inspired by Camille? Get your copy of "The Image of Leadership for Women" today. Because you deserve it. Or gift it to a woman you support—she deserves it, too. I’m delighted at the energy flowing today for International Women’s Day #IWD ... especially the celebratory nature of the messages and the gratitude they convey. I’m equally delighted by what’s missing ... the notion that it’s a zero-sum game where if women win, men lose. I’ve long been committed to creating workplaces where being a woman was not a barrier or even a factor in opportunities for a person's impact or participation. I’ve had the great privilege to create 3 workplaces from scratch; it’s my duty and in my core to create a fabric of fairness and participation. To the women of WorkBoard both present and past: Thank you all for making the space for other women to show up, to grow up, to step up. For never saying or thinking “how dare she?” or “who does she think she is?” These to me are the essence and the key to equal opportunity, equal pay, equal access, equal funding -- and they've been more elusive than any of us want them to be. We owe it to each other to let other women show up as they are from where they are. When we all go first in allowing each other to be equal AND we all go together, we all arrive. If you’re curious about women’s journeys in leadership in tech specifically, there are 2 outstanding books you should read and in which I'm honored to be a part of the story: Julia Boorstin's book "When Women Lead" — incredibly well researched book on the disparity of funding and opportunities women overcome, published in 2023. https://lnkd.in/gTJtBMPD Kelley Steven-Waiss's book "Valley Girls: Lesson from Female Founders in Silicon Valley and Beyond" which came out this week. It gives the inside story on the twisty journey women entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs travel. Cheers to a bright future together!
