#leadership #sustainability #nobelprize This class of new hires at Goldman Sachs may have to deal with the following challenges in this order: A. @GSElevator on X and John LeFevre Straight to Hell https://a.co/d/2xk0Pb3. B. The orderly end of Goldman Sachs as a firm similar to Bear Stearns. This is global capitalism and creative destruction. No protectionism, is there? Or are Larry Summers, Tim Geithner, Janet Yellen, and Jerome Powell a phone call away at any time of night or day? C. The orderly demise of the US dollar. Smart? Look to your left and look to your right? Yeah? BRICS by Jim O’Neill, November 2001 https://lnkd.in/ePdKdFbg had begun the end. I give a lot of freedom to those with whom I converse. Feel free to speak your mind. You are invited https://lnkd.in/eFHRYumh. Want to go for a ride or are you thinking you can take me for a ride? Something to think about?

Autistic thought-leader and public speaker dedicated to forwarding neurodiversity inclusion in employment through storytelling
I love reading about the success stories of candidates that go through Specialisterne’s neurodiversity hiring programs. Here is one about one of our candidates named Jake Hamlin who was hired through one of our US neurodiversity hiring initiatives. As a neurodivergent person who has faced so much in employment to get to where I am now, these stories really touch me personally. This is how we move forward with promoting inclusion for all neurodivergent people in employment. How do you think that organizations can facilitate inclusion of neurodivergent candidates and employees? #success #Neurodiversity #DiversityAndInclusion
Did you know… In the United States, Goldman Sachs has partnered with Specialisterne since 2018 to train, coach, and mentor neurodivergent individuals seeking a career in Finance. Jake Hamlin, Senior Associate, on his experience being hired through Goldman Sachs: “I’d always feared that if I didn’t hide this part of my story I’d never be welcomed, that there would always be distance, but I’ve found that the opposite to be true. The more honest I am, the closer I feel to the people around me like my colleagues and teammates.” "#SpecialisterneUSA #NDfinance #neurodiversityGoldmanSachs #employdifferenthinking Read about Jake’s story: https://lnkd.in/gny_FzAH

Here are a few examples of crucial indicators for businesses focused on being a catagory leader: 1) what do clients think, where do they spend their time and money? 2) can they attract the brightest grads to work / learn / build a career there? 3) does trust & integrity abound? 4) humility, are the employees moniacly focused on improving the offering and how much do they care? One of the several truly jaringly differentiated things about about this place is the people. They drive our service and culture forward. Excited to meet this years Summer Analysts and feeling their enthusiasm.

Hello Network, Yesterday I had an amazing experience at Goldman Sachs attending a fireside chat with the firm's CEO, David Solomon. During the occasion, I had the chance to engage with diverse individuals and absorb the insights and guidance shared by David. Here is some impactful advice from David that I think will be useful particularly to those of you at the beginning of your careers: 💡 “You’re at the beginning of a long journey, don’t be in a hurry” – Understandably, everybody wants to know what their destination is and what their career will be, but that’s just not how life works. It is much more fruitful to be in the moment and to enjoy the present. 💡 “Be authentic to yourself and tell your story” – You’ll be surprised at what opportunities come to you when you’re true to yourself and tell your story. For those of you who are undergrads at university like myself, these are three things which David thinks everybody should do while they’re at university: 💡 “No matter what you’re interested in, take accounting” – No matter what you go on to do in the world professionally, there will be some economic construct to it. Understanding and asking questions about the economic construct behind anything you do will help you be more successful in it. 💡 “Take public speaking” – The confidence to speak, present and express yourself is an invaluable tool that you will use throughout your journey no matter what. 💡 “Pursue something that you’re passionate about but that has nothing to do with what you think you’re supposed to be doing to achieve your professional goals” – You won’t have as much opportunities to explore passions after university. I'd like to express my thanks to Anna Skoglund for her facilitation of the discussion with David, and to Jessica Middleton and Kat Gorna for their invaluable insights on applications. In addition, I'd like to extend my appreciation to Clement Hutton-Mills and Pedro Dias Ferreira for generously sharing their experiences at Goldman Sachs, which have been truly inspiring and impactful. I am genuinely grateful to Goldman Sachs for hosting such an enlightening event, offering us invaluable insights into their ethos, beliefs, and guiding principles. #ExcellenceNotPerfection.
