2023 Employee of the Year - Congratulations Adriana! Each year we like to recognize exceptional effort from an employee and this year we congratulate Adriana as our 2023 Employee of the Year! While Adriana does not like job titles, we like to call her the “Warehouse Supervisor”. With nearly 20 years of experience at our company, her job duties transcend job titles and are spread across several entities in our family of companies. Adriana is another example of starting on the ground floor, working hard, learning as much as possible, and then growing to use that knowledge at a higher level. At the age of 20, Adriana moved to the US from Mexico and by the age of 23, she started working for Caroba Plastics. She started as a 2nd shift operator and then moved to 1st shift while also teaching herself English. It was quickly observed that Adriana continually outworked everyone while also keeping a keen eye on the details. This made her the perfect person to help launch our first service offerings in assembly and fulfillment. She helped grow these segments of our business from 2 small customers into numerous customers that now operate 24/7. Once the assembly and fulfillment pieces of our business were launched, Adriana was asked to help with a new startup in our family of companies. Adriana was instrumental in overseeing the warehouse activities for our sister company Pozzetta Specialty Supplies (PSS) while still helping with Caroba activities as needed. Last year Adriana was given additional duties and now oversees all the warehousing operations for Caroba and PSS. As previously mentioned, Adriana does not like job titles and this is because you have never seen a person more willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Adriana leads by example, and it is well known that no one can keep up with her. Whether it is moving boxes, stacking pallets, inventory counts, forklifting, quality control…you name it, she has her sleeves rolled up and is completing the tasks side by side with her team. Although the majority of the square footage in our building is under her supervision, you will never hear a complaint. She provides solutions and hard work to get through just about every situation. When asked what she likes about her job, there were 3 things that came to mind. First is the feeling of “Family” throughout the building and how everyone helps each other to accomplish goals. Second, she loves that she can bring new ideas to management, and they always listen. And third, she really enjoys working with our office personnel…and we agree, they are all pretty awesome! Congratulations Adriana! #people #team #plasticinjectionmolding #injectionmolding #manufacturing #manufacturingindustry #quality #medicalmanufacturing #semiconductorindustry #madeinusa #coloradobusiness

We're adding to our #EmployeeSpotlight series with our Regional Account Manager-Print, Thomas Parnau. We are proud of Tom and all he has done to ensure we provide the best service possible. Why did you join the RBP Team? When I was a pressroom supervisor, one of my former pressmen Carl Ruehle [one of my mentors actually] went to work at RBP, and highly recommended them. How do you achieve success in your role? When I first came to RBP, my goal was to share the years of knowledge I had acquired with others in the industry. To be successful in any profession one needs to listen to the people you work with, and become actively involved in attaining their goals, not yours. What do you love most about what you do? For me, interacting with various personalities is what I enjoy the most. Many of my clients [some over twenty years] have become more than customers, they are friends. While communicating regularly with my customers, I continue to learn from them as well. Tell us a surprising fact, or fun thing about yourself. There is this fascination I have always had with the life of Native Americans. Not sure why, but I carved four totem poles through the years. I gave one to my son, and one to my friend. Perhaps not so surprising, is that I enjoy yard work, duck hunting and the outdoors. Is there anything else you would like to add? Everyone I have ever known in the Printing Industry works very hard. I have great respect for Pressroom Managers, Pressmen and the Purchasing people that work diligently every day, to provide the information we all rely on. #science #chemistry #inspiringthebusinessworld #inspiringleaders #team #technology #leaders #success #chemical #math #opportunity #people #culture #safety #smallbusiness #interior #education #experience #career #training #help #communication #share #project #manufacturing #engineer #businessopportunities #love #work #customerservice #womeninbusiness #sales #marketing #diversity #learning #accounting #leansixsigma #job #business #projects #quality #careers #printingindustry #printinginks #flexoprinting

Recently, I went to Home Depot looking for parts for a pressure washer and a hose adapter. I had to speak with nearly five associates, none of whom could help me find what I needed. Four of them seemed unsure and mentioned that the store didn't have a lot of stock. One associate understood my request but made it more complicated, ultimately telling me it wouldn't work. I was ready to give up and leave when I finally found the part I needed, and it worked perfectly. I believe companies should invest in their employees by training them thoroughly in their specialties. Instead of just hiring staff to stock shelves, give them opportunities to become knowledgeable experts. For instance, if you run a shoe store, all your employees should know about the shoes you sell. #homedepot #2cents

Drives 🌿 dispensary sales from repeat customers | Reduces marketing costs | Increases customer loyalty | Marketing Leader
Have you worked retail? I have and it's a tough gig. Between long hours on your feet, dealing with fussy customers and pasting a smile on your face through it all, it's downright exhausting. Now, 10X all of that for budtenders working in a dispensary. The product knowledge required, the regulations to follow, navigating multiple computer platforms, cameras watching your every move, inexperienced managers. It's surprising anyone wants that job. These are the things that are always in the forefront of my mind when trying to implement new promotions, systems, programs, etc at retail. It takes more than knowledge about marketing, design, advertising or communications to be successful at retail marketing. When marketers have firsthand dispensary experience we have empathy for the staff. We know what support will be necessary to be successful. And we know many of the potential pitfalls to avoid. Do your marketers have this kind of boots-on-the-ground knowledge & experience?
