Pleasure in attending BlackBucks Engineers sponsored round table conference entitled "Decoding Recruiter Expectations". This was a insightful event, where number of industry leaders had shared their expertise on what recruiters truly seek in today's competitive market. I got an opportunity to interact many acedemician and industrial authorities on the issue of advanced training to be imparted to young engineering graduates. This year even IITs was having shortage of employment upto 38%, reasons for this unemployment was also discussed in details. This is high time to convert functional skills (basics and fundamental) of engineering students into professional skills (industry READY)and simultaneously soft skills into personalised skills. It is also interesting to know that many industrial personnel are ready to establish Centre of Excellence in the frontier areas of engineering for advanced education and research. I was very much impressed by TaPTaP initiative, which is one step forward to advanced ERP. Through this students , parents , teachers are well aware of number of opportunities in education, employment and entrepreneurship. Presentation on how AI and Data Science will reshape engineering graduates, Skill report presentation and exclusive training of different domains specific subject was very much impressive. It is high time to articulate additional training to students to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in talent production. Thanks to Ms Anuradha Thoda Founder of Blackbuck and Dr Mohan Menon for giving me this opportunity.

Spent nearly my whole working life in different sales roles and having that last day of the month madness to hit targets/kickers and push my commission up not to mention the stress! I can't think of many more important decisions I made in my life than where I began my career journey. I kicked off as a Saturday lad at JJB Sports, Parkgate, Rotherham. Stacking shelves, stock room runs to grab trainers and the most thrilling part, learning how to use the Football shirt number/name printing machine! - Once in '94 I put "9 - Shearer" on the back of a Man Utd home shirt, when he looked nailed on to go there...bet that jersey didn't get much airtime ;-) Anyway, this job set me up with a love for all things retail. I learned how to interact with customers, built communication skills and understood the importance of listening. Ami Rowe and her team create these opportunities across a Global estate for us here at Frasers Group. It genuinely excites and amazes me at how many of these stories we are able to kick-off every single day.
