Dear #hiringmanagers , it's almost 2024 and the association of #jobseekers need you to repent and be humane. Repent from wanting 2 - 3 years of experience for #entrylevel roles. I've heard that the definition of "entry-level" depends on the company. But how rational is it that a normal English word has becomes a Chameleon that changes color with different backgrounds? Who orchestrated the "definition change"? Can we go back to when "entry-level" used to be entry-level? I mean, can we have that era when we hear "entry-level" and it automatically translates "ZERO years of experience"? It's cunning how you tag a job that needs 2-3 years of experience just because you have low budget! Please, repent and give us opportunities to join your organization. #theordealofajobseeker #entryleveljobs #entrylevel #hrcommunity #hrprofessionals #hiringmanagers #talent #recruitment #recruiters #recruitersoflinkedin

Can we just admit that entry level jobs and positions really aren’t entry level just about every job posting is looking for someone with some type of experience, certification, or even a degree. Those aren’t entry level people. They are people who have invested time and experience to meet a standard. Entry level truly means not having experience or knowledge of the subject matter, while having a willingness to learn or gain valuable knowledge/ insight into what is required to be successful in the position. HR/ hiring management don’t miss out on a quality candidate who could bring invaluable skills to your company or organization over not having experience in an entry level position.

When it comes to hiring, there's a controversial topic that often sparks debate: Should we prioritize attitude over skills? While skills are undeniably important and can be critical to job performance, I believe attitude holds a unique value that can sometimes outweigh technical expertise. A positive, proactive attitude fosters a healthy work environment, promotes teamwork, and drives continuous improvement. In my experience, individuals with the right attitude tend to be more adaptable, open to learning, and better equipped to overcome challenges. They contribute to a positive culture and are often more aligned with the company’s values and goals. So, what do you prioritize when hiring? Do you focus on attitude, skills, or strive for a balance of both? #hiring #recruitment #WorkCulture #AttitudeVsSkills #hr

Building a winning team starts with hiring the right talent. Here are my top three factors to consider when bringing new staff on board: 1. Attitude - A positive attitude can greatly influence team dynamics and productivity. Look for candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm, adaptability, and a willingness to learn. 2. Relevant Experience - Relevant experience can bring valuable skills and insights to the role, reducing the learning curve and contributing to immediate impact. Consider both the depth and breadth of experience in relation to the specific requirements of the position. 3. Education - While formal education is important, it's essential to assess how well it aligns with the demands of the job. Look for candidates whose education complements their experience and supports their ability to excel in the role. Keep in mind that practical skills and real-world application often carry significant weight alongside academic credentials. Together, they form the foundation for success in any role. #hiringtips #hr #personalpov
