Bounce back from redundancy, FAST. Most people who have been made redundant: - Are hit with financial stress - Questions of their self worth - Was it me? Was it them? In most cases, the answer is 'it was me' because there is no closure in such event. The company is not going to say it's not you, it's me, hence the only other option is to blame self. This concoction of emotions clouds our judgement, especially when it comes to how we value ourselves. The solution is finding value in yourself when you feel your lowest. You must: - Look back across your career and define moments you are proud of - Learn to tell those stories at a higher priority than your redundancy story - Control your personal brand, your turmoil is internal, the external world does not care and will not carry it for you Here is an example of how to wear your redundancy with pride: 'I was made redundant in my last role, but when I look back across my career I have achieved A, B, C, D and I realised that I need more exposure to my true skills and passion in my next role. My redunadancy has presented me with the perfect opportunity to shift my career in the right direction and lean in on my strengths, that is why I have applied to this role' Woah... recruiter is blown away by your sense of self worth, impressed by your stories and you showed clear resilience to bounce back fast. You are enough, go get it! #redundancy #jobseekers #opentowork
