There are some things in life we don't want but we do need and some things we do want but still are unable to accept 🤔 At this time of year the big thing that leaps to mind is we want to get fit but cannot accept the need to visit a gym/exercise/give up wine consistently. Fast forward a number of years and it may be that same approach that puts us into the frailty spiral. What I do know is that for so many of our enquiries about care we have very emotional/stressed/worried callers desperate for help which lead to NOTHING (or maybe 30 minutes a day). Why?🤔 Because quite simply the relative causing the worry and anxiety, the person they WANT to help simply refuses to accept that they NEED help. Result: more stress for families and more frailty for the relative. These are difficult conversations and I just hope we can make it easier by sharing our expertise and experience with others.
