Under the leadership of Claudia Doberenz, it is thanks to this dedicated team of 13 that we are able to offer innovative product solutions in both the MedCare and SkinCare areas and grow globally. The success of our I&D function is primarily based on the close cooperation throughout all of MedSkin Solutions Dr. Suwelack AG. So, let us start my next Let's Talk Series here at LinkedIn with Jan Röwer, Technology Manager at MedSkin Solutions Dr. Suwelack AG. Jan, what are the challenges in your current area of accountability and what major topics are you currently working on? “With our specialized processes, we are able to manufacture high-quality products from varying biomaterials. My job is to assess the existing processes and improve them in a target-oriented manner. To this purpose, tests and analyses are conducted at various process levels in close collaboration with specialists from other areas at MedSkin Solutions Dr. Suwelack AG, such as quality specialists, process and production engineers. As we are a medium-sized company, the communication channels are short, which means that each team member can contribute ideas, which after evaluation are implemented very fast due to our rapid decision-making process. Another important part is my project work. In addition to the development of new innovative products for the MedCare and SkinCare divisions, I work on new, sustainable and efficient technologies that further expand our current portfolio enabling us to offer our customers new products. To achieve this, we are working closely with renowned German engineering companies, key opinion leaders and other technology experts. June brings exciting news in the U.S. manufacturing sector, with substantial investments and new facilities from leading companies. From a groundbreaking solar plant in Tulsa to significant expansions in North Carolina, these ventures promise a total of $5.9 billion in investment and thousands of jobs! Get the full roundup of the most noteworthy new manufacturing operations and expansions announced this month in comments, but here's a peek at some highlights: 🏭Novo Nordisk is investing a whopping $4.1 billion to build a second manufacturing facility in Clayton, North Carolina. This expansion creates 1,000 new jobs and focuses on producing injectable treatments for obesity and other chronic diseases. 🏭Toyota Motor Corporation is revving up its engine factory in Huntsville, Alabama with a $282 million investment. This expansion will create over 350 new jobs and introduce new drivetrain production lines, solidifying their position as the largest engine producer for Toyota in North America. 🏭PPG Industries is making a big splash in Tennessee with a $300 million investment for a brand new manufacturing facility in Loudon County. This investment will create approximately 130 jobs and marks PPG's first U.S. plant in over a decade. The facility will focus on automotive paints and coatings. 🏭Kyowa Kirin, Inc.- U.S. Kirin, a global leader in specialty pharmaceuticals, is joining the biologics boom in North Carolina with a significant investment of up to $530 million. This investment will translate to over 100 new jobs and a state-of-the-art facility in Sanford. The new facility will focus on the production of biologic therapies for rare and serious diseases. 🏭Toyota Material Handling is shifting into high gear with a $100 million investment in a new electric forklift factory in Columbus, Indiana.
