My first year attending #Collision2024 — and it didn’t disappoint. Yesterday’s Future of Fintech Funding session hosted by Joao Gabriel Chebante of Sinergis Investment delivered investor perspective and their consideration sets relative to market shifts. Chris Gardner — Underscore VC - Valuations are more rationale and founders are smarter. - Consumer fintech is more bearish than B2B. - You can always raise more money, but you can’t raise more time. Emmalyn Shaw — Flourish Ventures - We are taking more time to do due diligence to get the know the founders — for long term relationships. - Looking at compliance, infrastructure, embedded payments, cross-border payments, keeping eye on stable coin, generative ai market - Fintech is truly transformational … and a really collaborative ecosystem. - Pick something you are passionate about — ideally mission based — that has purpose and impact.
