Good advice: "Don’t put all your eggs in one basket!" 🧺 Questionable advice: "But CRAM all your PASSWORDS into THIS basket!" 🤨 It sounds ridiculous, but that’s exactly what we do with password managers. They store all your passwords in one place. Super convenient—but risky. One vault, one key… And suddenly... POOF 💨 Someone else is in. So, what's the solution? MFA and a strong master password? Putting all your trust in one basket is a real risk. Are password managers a smart move for security... Or just us rolling the dice? 🎤

A password manager can be a great resource for storing, encrypting, and protecting your login credentials. You only need to remember one master key while this tool automatically generates and records a complex, unique and random password for each registered account, making credential theft difficult. Take advantage of this tip and check if your organization is at risk with KnowBe4's Password Exposure Test (PET). https://bit.ly/47HvYXz

There is good reason behind the changing of passwords periodically, but the fact that users are now making weaker passwords because of how frequently they are resetting their passwords is a valid point. I still am surprised whenever someone isn’t using a password manager with the same recommended complex pssword along with MFA. If the security is inconvenient for access to that password manager and it is well enforced then you have pretty good chances of staying “more secure than most” with regards to your passwords. Thoughts ? 💭 https://lnkd.in/gvmngpgR

Even though cybercriminals have lots of different ways to hack into your systems, the most common way still remains through weak passwords that are easy to guess. That’s why we recommended that you look into getting a password management system earlier this week. A password management system helps you counteract against poor password hygiene as it flags which of your passwords are weak and used too many times across different accounts. You can then update them for more complex passwords and store then safely in the management system, removing the need for you to remember all those different and complicated passwords.
