"An immediate, unconditional, permanent ceasefire and an end to the indiscriminate bombardment and killing of civilians" in the Holy Land. That is the joint request of Caritas Internationalis, ACT Alliance, and the World Council of Churches after an online meeting on Wednesday. The leadership of the three organisations had planned a solidarity visit to Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza from 5-9 of August. Unfortunately, they could meet only online due to the escalation of the conflict in the region. Read more:

Today marks 76 years since the Nakba - literally meaning 'the catastrophe' - when 750,000 Palestinians were ethnically cleansed from their native land. This period also saw dozens of massacres, including at Deir Yassin in which over 100 villagers were killed by Israeli paramilitaries. The Nakba made stateless refugees of much of the Palestinian people, with the rest living under occupation. In the words of Edward Said, Palestinians “had their lives broken, their spirits drained, their composure destroyed forever in the context of seemingly unending, serial dislocation.” This is why we must continue fighting for a free Palestine and for the right of return for refugees. As the ongoing destruction of Gaza makes painfully clear, the Nakba never ended - and continues to this day. In Gaza, Israel forces have killed over 36,000 people including 14,500 children. The situation is beyond unbearable, with an Israeli assault on Rafah, which now houses the majority of the Strip’s population, expanding. Watch Jeremy Corbyn's latest Double Down News video on the situation in Gaza. (https://lnkd.in/ezpF7pHe) Its vital that we continue marching for Palestine: to call on our government to demand an immediate ceasefire and suspend arms export licenses to Israel and demand our cultural institutions cut ties with the financiers of war. Please join us at the next National Demonstration this Saturday. Here are the details you need: Date: Saturday 18th May Time: Assemble 12pm Location: BBC Portland Place, W1A

The ongoing conflict in Palestine, exacerbated by prolonged hostilities with Israel, has led to a severe humanitarian crisis, leaving countless Palestinians in desperate need of food and basic necessities. The war has disrupted supply chains, destroyed infrastructure, and displaced families, making it incredibly difficult for people to access adequate nutrition. Many are facing acute hunger, with children and the elderly being particularly vulnerable. In these dire circumstances, urgent support is required from the international community to provide food aid and other essential resources to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian population. Every contribution can make a significant difference, offering a lifeline to those enduring the unimaginable hardships of war.

The situation for Palestinian IDPs in Gaza’s tented shelters is dire and heartbreaking. Families who have already lost everything to the ongoing conflict are now struggling to survive under harsh and inhumane conditions. With limited access to clean water, food, medical care, and basic hygiene, their daily existence is a constant fight for survival. Children, the elderly, and the most vulnerable are bearing the brunt of this suffering. These shelters offer little protection against the elements, and the lack of privacy and dignity only adds to their trauma. The resilience of the Palestinian people is truly remarkable, but they should not have to endure such unimaginable hardship. The world must not turn a blind eye to their plight. It’s time for urgent action and solidarity. Under the Geneva Convention of 1949, it's imperative to establish safe corridors for the evacuation of patients and civilians, ensuring their protection and safe passage from conflict zones to secure areas, as a fundamental humanitarian obligation.

Isn’t the time to stop war, end the suffering, and restore peace in our country #Sudan? 15 April 2024 marks one year of violence, misery, and destruction of a whole nation. A conflict that led to the largest displacement crisis in the world (and I’m sure you all know the numbers). People lost their lives, assets, source of income, dignity and human rights, and left with no choice but to be forcibly displaced or seeking refuge in neighboring countries! When the war will end? A question that’s repeatedly asked in every Sudanese mind day and night and no one seems to have an answer. While striving to respond, humanitarian and aid assistance remains short and inadequate with gaps in funding, access, and capacity to scale up! This is also associated with bureaucratic impediments by local authorities and even our own system as humanitarians, in some cases! Funding must be timely, flexible, and sustainable in order to overcome the growing needs of the affected population. Planning and implementation must be needs-based and prioritized from within the community. Let’s advocate for immediate ceasefire that pave the way for restoring peace and stability in #Sudan.

DAY 104 of the war: 136 hostages- including the elderly, women and children and a baby who turned 1 today, are still being held captive in Gaza in the most inhumane conditions, literally not seeing the light of day. Israel is providing hundreds of trucks of humanitarian aid to Gaza (the majority taken by the Hamas terror thugs but that's another story). Where is the demand from global organizations to ensure the innocent hostages, brutally kidnapped from their homes amidst the murder and torture of their families, are being given food and medicine? Where is the outcry from global organizations at the ongoing physical, mental and sexual abuse of these people who are being denied every single human right? Where is the demand from the global organizations, that are meant to promote world peace, for Hamas to release the hostages? Hamas is responsible for all the suffering inflicted on every single human being since October 7 and they need to be held accountable by the world bodies who claim to stand for peace and justice. #standwithisrael #sharethetruth

We pray for peace calmness in Kenya. The violent demonstration a must stop. We are calling on all stakeholders and the government to work together to find amicable solutions to this boiling situation. All African countries need proactive measures to maintain and ensure prolonged peaceful environment for businesses and the business community to heal from the dreadful impacts of the covid pandemic and economic downturn. The children in Kenya are being affected by the unfolding situation which might escalate into a major nationwide crisis. We are therefore calling on the Kenyans, stakeholders and government to sit at the table and resolve this as urgently as possible. It’s also important that all African countries put in place Early Intervention Mechanisms to effectively deal with such situations before they turn up. Most of peace building programmes are not given the priorities they deserve especially in the periods before, during and right after national elections. We must all invest into preventive measures and not into our reactive actions that have huge implications on our productive capabilities and development efforts. We are therefore, also calling on stakeholders in countries such as Ghana to ensure that we are able to work together to prevent such situations from occurring. We are at the verge of failing the next generation if we fail to manage our differences peacefully. Peace to all humanity and may peace and calmness be restored in Kenya and all other countries in such situations. PEACE https://lnkd.in/ed6NHTEk

THE RESOLUTION OF THE ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN WAR DEPENDS ON THE ABILITY OF THE WARRING PARTIES TO LET GO OF THEIR LIMITING BELIEFS: War is a basic pattern of DUALITY that is based on the KEY BELIEF OF THE CONSCIOUS MIND OR EGO that EXAGGERATION IS THE WAY TO FULL EXPERIENCE. Full experience through exaggeration implies MORE THAN REACHING THE EXTREME, i.e. it implies the complete destruction of both warring parties including the compatriots who support them. In the sense of CONSCIOUSNESS TECHNOLOGY, this happens because the SUBCONSCIOUS MIND OR SOUL that created the ego wants to EXPERIENCE ITSELF IN CONDITIONS OF SELF-LIMITATIONS. For the soul that is ETERNAL AND UNLIMITED, that self-limitation in the ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN WAR implies that 2 NATIONS through wars IN DIFFERENT TIME PERIODS claim to 1 LAND. Exaggeration as a method of GAINING EXPERIENCE is applied because there is a FEAR that something in that experience will be MISSED OR NOT DONE RIGHT. At the base of the exaggeration is the KEY BELIEF that war MUST BE COMPLETELY EXPERIENCED TO KNOW WHAT COMPLETE PEACE IS. It is still not clear whether the ISRAELIS and PALESTINIANS including the COUNTRIES who support them are CAPABLE OF CHANGE. That their change implies a change IN THE DIRECTION THAT WILL GIVE THEM PEACE AND THEIR OWN COUNTRIES AS A RESULT. This is still not clear because it is still not clear that they are capable of CHANGING THE BELIEFS THAT LIMIT THEIR GOD GIVEN POWER TO CREATE EACH THEIR OWN MATERIAL LAND. Because if they don't believe that EACH OF THEM CAN HAVE THEIR OWN LAND, they can't even have it. It is the TECHNOLOGY of HUMAN CONSCIOUSNESS related to the PHYSICAL REALITY and it is what it is. As far as the United Nations and other international organizations are concerned, it is time for THEIR NEGOTIATORS AND HELPERS to become aware through EDUCATION that thought creates matter. #exaggeration #war #IsraelandPalestine #equilibrium #jasnicaklaramatic
I reiterate my appeal for Israel and Hamas to show political courage and spare no effort to secure an agreement now. To stop the bloodshed. To free the hostages. To help stabilize a region which is still at risk of explosion. This is a crucial opportunity that the region – and indeed the world – cannot afford to miss. After more than 1,100 Israelis were killed in the Hamas terror attacks of 7 October, after more than 34,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, haven’t we seen enough? Haven’t civilians suffered enough death and destruction? A full-scale assault on Rafah will be a human catastrophe. Countless more civilian casualties. Countless more families forced to flee yet again – with nowhere safe to go. Meanwhile, the repercussions will be felt far beyond, in the occupied West Bank, and across the region. Even the best friends of Israel are clear: An assault on Rafah would be a strategic mistake, a political calamity, and a humanitarian nightmare. I appeal to all those with influence over Israel to do everything in their power to help avert even more tragedy. The international community has a shared responsibility to promote a humanitarian ceasefire, the unconditional release of all hostages, and a massive surge in life-saving aid.

Organisasjons- og lederutvikler - Foredrag om økt selvtillit og psykologisk trygghet - Inkludering og mangfold som et verktøy til økt lønnsomhet
Thank you for saying out loud what billions of people have said for decades António Guterres. Going to war and trying to solve disagreements or gain resources with violence shows poor mindset and predator like personality. Answering violent attacks with war and violence shows you are just as limited in mindset, but I do understand the need to protect. Destruction of human lives and societies is a path of death and degress. Stopping violence to solve problems in a civilized manner shows that you have taken a step further. A more mature mindset of peace and humanitarian approach. Solving problems and be willing to include cultures and live beside each other no matter det differences in religion or lifestyle, in respect of individuality and culture shows an open mindset and appreciation of both human life and human creations. Sparing and supporting lives are a path of growth and prosperous societies. Let's put in the effort to be prosperous and supportive to make everyone live with and around each other no matter the differences. It should'nt be that hard. People with different religious backgrounds, and without religios backgrounds, and different lifestyles and different economic interests live peacefully beside each other many places in the world. Why not in this perticular area? I have many thoughts on this, and I am working on the problem in a minor scale. This fall I am working with DNB on inclusion and diversity in the workplace during the fall semester in my study. The focus group is minorities in the society, more specifically transgender people. With guidance from both Wenche Fredriksen in DNB and Gunnar Andersson at Høgskolen i Østfold (HiØ) - Innovasjon og prosjektledelse I am sure we will come some steps closer on how to create acceptance for differences. I am also certain we will find important common factors for creating peaceful worklife and meaningful social interactions outside the workspace. A lot of knowledge on these topics is already out there. The main task is probably to actually using it and minimizing the gaps, preferably closing them, of difference so everyone involved can see the other person as a human being deserving love and other basic human psychological needs. I bet, although not money or other material values, that there are a lot of commonalities between my upcoming task and the task lying in front of Palestine and Israel. Stop the bloodshed, stop dehumanizing people!
