Well today hasn't gone to plan, we have no internet as Sky, in their wisdom, decided to transfer over our broadband overnight, despite their hub not having arrived yet! However, it doesn't mean we still can't get on with other tasks. 4 Welcome Packs ready to go out to our new clients, who have said "Yes" to moving their accountancy services over to us 🤩 So what's in the Welcome pack? (From an accountant, I hear you gasp! ) They will receive a lovely welcome letter, a leaflet about our commitment to our charities, a visual onboarding poster, our partner promise, a book and a chocolate bar! Why do we do this? Well our customer journey starts before they become a client but when they do, it's important to us they know we appreciate their trust in us and they understand how we work and what will happen next. But the journey doesn't end there. Following an onboarding call, in the first 3 months they get a new client check in call every 4 weeks. Then futher client check in calls throughout the year. These calls vary from a brief "hello how are things?" to a tax review meeting or a services review. I'm also in the process of introducing a client survey and NPS throughout the year, so we can address any gremlins straightaway. Tomorrow is a gift we only receive every 4 years. We have an entire extra day in the year - an extra day to make an impact - and extra day to be a light for someone. When I talk with people, friends, family, co-workers, everyone always says they wished they had the same thing, more time. Well, tomorrow is that day - more time. 24 hours more this year. How will you use it? Will you volunteer? Will you do something to be a light for someone else? Pay it forward? Take a day for yourself (because self care is NOT selfish!) Here at the St. Louis Area Foodbank we always welcome (and are grateful) for individuals, businesses, churches, schools and community groups who help us with food, funds, and friends - and tomorrow is a great day to do something to make a difference. So - for everyone who is always wishing for "more time".... tomorrow you have 24 hours of more time.... how will YOU spend it? My hope is that you will read this - and comment how you will spend it. And it should NOT be "business as usual".... this is a gift - and one that you will not receive again for 4 YEARS.....if you haven't thought about making it special, well, you have some time today to think about it.
