Safeguarding global trade and health relies on the "three sisters"—Codex Alimentarius, IPPC, and WOAH. By setting and monitoring international standards for food safety, plant, and animal health, they ensure safe, sustainable, and harmonized trade. Collaboration and innovation are key to overcoming barriers and protecting people, animals, and the planet. Great knowledge resource from the three sisters and IPPC Observatory!

⚡Reflecting on My SIPA Journey ✨
This photo captures one of my first approaches at Columbia | SIPA—a moment that, at the time, I had no idea would transform my professional and personal life so profoundly. Studying in a vibrant, inspiring, and challenging city like NYC has been life-changing. As I near the end of my first semester, I’d like to share three key takeaways from this incredible journey:
1️⃣ Studying an MPA at SIPA: Challenging but Unforgettable
Pursuing a Master's in Public Administration at SIPA has been one of the most demanding yet rewarding experiences of my life. I have been surrounded by inspiring professors, brilliant classmates, and a curriculum that allows me to tailor my path. Beyond the classroom, SIPA offers countless extracurricular opportunities—research competitions, volunteer programs, student associations, and talks by renowned experts, lecturers, and alumni. These experiences make SIPA not just an academic journey but a holistic one.
2️⃣ “Do it even if you are afraid.”
A former boss once told me these words, which have stuck with me ever since. This experience would not have been possible if I had not faced my fears—leaving a stable job, adapting to a new language, risking failure, and battling self-doubt. Fear is universal, but my question to you is: Will you let your fears hold you back? Or will you take that leap and trust yourself? Remember, growth often lies on the other side of fear.
3️⃣ Invest in Personal Growth
In our fast-paced, achievement-oriented society, it’s easy to lose sight of yourself. Take a moment to pause. Reflect. Reconnect. Whether through therapy, mental health podcasts, self-help books, or meaningful conversations with trusted friends, learning about yourself is invaluable. Understanding your fears, tracing your origins, and embracing your past can transform how you see the world and relate to others. Trust me, the journey within is just as important as the journey forward.
Of course, this adventure has not been without challenges—moving to a new country, adapting to a different culture, and mastering a new language. But every small hurdle overcome has made me feel stronger, more empowered, and more open to exploring challenges I never thought possible.
You are not alone. Asking for help is a strength, and self-compassion is key. If my journey resonates with you, or if you’re considering a similar path, feel free to reach out. I’d be happy to help or share insights from my experience.
Here’s to chasing dreams, conquering fears, and growing into the best version of ourselves! 🌟
