This Clean Air Act Conference panel will discuss Environmental Justice (EJ) initiatives in permitting and enforcement at federal and state levels and the incorporation of EJ issues into air emission standard rulemaking. Expect to hear the latest on Title VI complaints and EPA guidance as the panel explores practical tips for permittees to address EJ in future air permitting, including what meaningful community engagement means, what the permitting record should contain for an EJ analysis, and the proactive ways a permittee can navigate permitting and work with the public in light of Title VI obligations.
