For our final spotlight of February, courtesy of our Katherine Johnson Employee Resource Group, we have the pleasure of sharing a moment of pride and a favorite Ginkgo ownership principle from Cornishia Cherrie, whose leadership helps power our critical high-throughput screening work. She shares that: "First, I am most proud of my HTS Ops teammates and HTS Foundry colleagues. Amongst us magic and dragons happen. Second, I am a process- and production-driven person, so as we streamline, operationalize, and onboard new services to HTS Ops it promotes opportunities for expansion and capacity planning. How can we create a huge impact by scaling processes and not burn funds? We create redundancies in our workflow by utilizing a network of underutilized equipment. This is probably one of the oldest tricks in the book, but it works. This will enable an increase in the number of production events by 2x or more. As I looked at our values and virtues the statement “We are mission-obsessed” stood out to me most. My entire life I have been on a mission, one that has building character along its path. And every mission has a purpose that may not be obvious, so: stick with it! At our core here at Ginkgo, we are driven by a relentless pursuit of our mission. Every decision, every action is guided by our unwavering dedication to achieving our goals. Our passion for our mission infuses every aspect of our work, fueling our determination to overcome obstacles and push boundaries. We approach challenges with creativity and resilience, never losing sight of the impact our mission holds. It is this mission-driven mindset that propels us forward, inspiring us to make a difference and leave a lasting legacy."
