Inspired by Piotr Skalski speed estimation tutorial on Roboflow I'm creating a project/tutorial/system that detects and track objects in the airport area using YOLOv8/v9 and Supervision. Initially, I considered using a bird's eye perspective to identify and monitor the positions of people, aircraft, and pushback tractors. However, I was not able to find good footage with a suitable perspective. 😢 So, I decided to start with a simplified version focused on estimating aircraft speed during takeoff. The project currently has three main classes. The next step in the project is to develop a class for positioning objects onto a reference image (aerodrome chart, satellite imagery). While still under development, you can follow the repository (link below) and share your thoughts! 🔗 https://lnkd.in/d-RT4gie

5moThis is sooo cool! Projects like this are why I build my tutorials. Two questions: - Why not visualize all planes? - Can I share it on Twitter? haha
