Behavioral Health Providers, according to a study by McKinsey & Company, Gen Z respondents were more likely to report having a behavioral-health diagnosis but less likely to report seeking treatment compared with other generations. The study states several factors that may account for their lack of seeking help: developmental stage, disengagement from their healthcare, perceived affordability, and stigma associated with mental or substance use disorders within their families and communities. How are you as a provider helping this select audience, and their parents find your services? #behavioralhealth #GenZhealth #Behavioralhealthmarketing

Hey BH friends, I will be sharing a Ted Talk style presentation at this year's Washington Behavioral Healthcare Conference. Where there is hope... At its core, hope is the belief that our future can be better than our past and that we play a role in making it so. It differs from optimism, which is about expecting good things, not participating in their construction. Hope is about how we plan and act to achieve. As a future facing, goal-oriented model, hope allows us to feel empowered and competent in our ability to walk forward and thrive. https://lnkd.in/eBeHVGrS

Volunteer at National Shattering Silence Coalition on Steering & PAC committee(s) and Policy Director/MA, dedicated to improving our country’s treatment of serious brain illness. Spreading awareness on AOT, nationwide.
Many solutions were offered and the panelists rose to my urgent call to action at the conclusion to this 3 day summit. Measuring the impact of Whole Person Care can be approached by tracking improvements in patient outcomes, satisfaction, and engagement, but also jail and repeat hospitalizations for complete data collection. We need to develop surveys or tools to capture feedback from individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) and their caregivers (or neighbors) on their holistic care experiences. Communication, collaboration, customized software tools for patients with internists around their appointments, and using outside-the-box thinking like the Stepped Care Solutions approach and AI innovations were among the Future of Mental Healthcare Summit top highlights. #futureofmentalhealth #mentalhealth #FoMH2024 https://lnkd.in/eVSe6pJv

The final three months of 2023 were a relatively quiet period within the behavioral healthcare sector. Just 31 deals were completed—the fewest since the second quarter of 2020 and the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Though 2023 was down, all indications point to increased activity in 2024. Kevin Taggart, Managing Partner, shares his thoughts on the M&A marketplace for the behavioral health sector.
