Carmeuse Foundation: Entrepreneurship Flourishes Among Thai Youth In the heart of Lopburi province, Thailand, 150 students from Phatthana Nikhom School embarked on an exciting challenge: developing an idea, conducting in-depth research, formalizing it into a business case, implementing it, and finally presenting it to a jury at the Junior Achievement entrepreneurial competition. Beyond the prizes awarded to the winning teams, it was the spirit of initiative and creativity among these young participants that truly shone. The Carmeuse Foundation takes pride in supporting these future leaders and fostering entrepreneurship among Thai youth. 🌟 #CarmeuseFoundation #WeContributeToABetterWorld

When the Cultivons L'Esprit d'Entreprise (CLE) youth entrepreneurship project in Burkina Faso first launched, Tanager didn't have much time to achieve the ambitious goals that were set out. CLE handily met, and in most cases exceeded, those goals. A key reason it was able to do so was the team's commitment to adjusting as they learned. Find out about some of the lessons learned from the project: https://bit.ly/4bwRNMI #youthentrepreneurship #youthentrepreneurs #lessonslearned

When Tanager first began implementing the Cultivons L'Esprit d'Entreprise (CLE) in Burkina Faso with the Kingdom of the Netherlands, there was uncertainty about whether entrepreneurship was a significant interest among Burkinabé youth. It turns out there is a hunger in the country for entrepreneurship training--so much so that the CLE project had to make hard choices around which applications would receive training. The project, which closed in December, amassed several other valuable lessons: https://bit.ly/4bwRNMI #lessonslearned #youthentrepreneurship

Humanitarian award winner providing remote business coaching to entrepreneurs in developing countries and emerging economies. Founder and Chief Entrepreneurship Officer at EFour Enterprises.
I have it on good authority that entrepreneurial education sucks. Globally. The GEM (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor) Report has been tracking various aspects of entrepreneurship around the world for 25 years. The 2023/2024 report indicates that the two Entrepreneurial Framework Condition (EFC) scores on entrepreneurial education in schools were the LOWEST OF ALL the factors in 31 out of the 49 economies tracked. This has been the case over successive years. Can’t say I’m surprised. The fact that wealthy countries don’t do a good job of it is pretty interesting, but this is 1000 times more important in developing countries, where there are not enough jobs and the only way to make a living is self-employment or entrepreneurship. Why isn’t entrepreneurship more widely taught in schools? Everything would benefit, from microenterprises to communities to value chains to GDPs. #globalentrepreneurship #developingcountries #entrepreneurialeducation https://lnkd.in/eusG9cBu

Our latest published study by Stephen E. Lanivich, Nadia Zahoor, Francis Donbesuur, Dr Domnan Miri & Samuel Adomako, explores how psychological resiliency drives entrepreneurial strategies like product differentiation and international diversification, using the conservation of resources theory as our framework. Analysing data from 226 entrepreneurs in Pakistan, we find that resiliency enhances these strategies through entrepreneurial alertness. Notably, institutional voids play a crucial role in moderating the relationship between entrepreneurial alertness and these strategies, highlighting the potential advantages of navigating challenging environments. Our findings position entrepreneurial alertness as a critical factor linking founder characteristics to innovation and expansion, offering fresh insights for entrepreneurs facing institutional voids. This research not only advances the understanding of entrepreneurial alertness but also contributes significantly to international entrepreneurship literature. https://lnkd.in/enW2aC34
