Thank you for stating what we see somehow “overlook” The California Endowment. Our collective thanks to #farmworkers who ensure we eat, regardless of the physically demanding daily work and oftentimes not accessing the food they grow. What a parallel to ponder (not to shame, but to increase our collective curiosity and growth): traveling far distances from home with the hope of getting a smartphone camera’s distance from a musical performance; spending some of the time in dust, dirt, mud, and elements; paying large sums of money to witness incredible talent and creativity and being “seen” via social media. Versus Traveling far distances from home with the hope of a better paying job that can support themselves and their families; spending all of their time in the dust, dirt, mud, and elements; receiving low wages and being overlooked and taken for granted for feeding everyone who attends such festivals - and not being “seen” at all. Hello Minister Emer Higgins, Let's save the NDRC contract., however, it needs to change. Goodbye NDRC. Hello new NDRC! A one-stop shop for the founders. Let's collaborate not compete! Ireland's start-up ecosystem is strong but fractured. Our mindset needs to change. Too many startup organisations and accelerators prioritising their own agenda. Falling Through the Cracks: Due to the fragmented nature of the ecosystem, many founders fall through the cracks. They might miss out on crucial support or funding opportunities simply because they are unaware of where to look or whom to approach. Potential Solution Unified Effort: There needs to be a concerted effort to unify the various organisations and accelerators. A round table of influencers from Scale Ireland, Dogpatch Labs, Enterprise Ireland, Furthr, New Frontiers, AwakenHub, LEO, TechFoundHer, RDI Hub, InterTradeIreland, Food Works Ireland, PorterShed, Tangent @ Portal, NovaUCD, IGNITE UCC, Republic of Work, Skillnet Innovation Exchange, AxisBIC and others could focus on the founder's needs and their journey. This collaboration could streamline support and create a more cohesive user-friendly founder experience. Changing the Mindset Collaboration Over Competition: Encouraging a mindset of collaboration rather than competition among organisations and accelerators can lead to a more supportive and unified ecosystem. Long-Term Vision: Focusing on the long-term success of founders rather than short-term gains for individual organisations can help create a more sustainable and thriving start-up ecosystem. Another great lunchtime event organised by pro-manchester. I always come away with new connections or takeaways from the seminars and today didn't fail on both accounts. I also got the added bonus of a walk in the sun to and from COLONY Fabrica, and a welcome break from the computer screens. I spoke with Jemma Bargh from Trafford & Stockport College Group and discussed ways in which Crescent Purchasing Consortium could provide some support to the College learners, which I look forward to exploring further. The seminar was interesting and I gained a number of takeaways on the subject of how storytelling should be at the heart of a communications strategy. Here are my top 3: 1. Consider what you/your business want to be known for? 2. Look to include a human element into the story that people will remember. 3. Don't be afraid of repeating yourself because your message may have to be said several times before your dream customer(s) hear it. I say, don't be afraid of repeating yourself.... 😁 Lots more I could add, which I'll be sharing with the comms team at Crescent Purchasing Consortium during this week.

 P. BRIJLALL          After a workplace accident, WSIB put me through hell and made my injuries twice as worse   permanently then robbed me of my benefits just because of the colour of my skin. Sandra Di Carlo the case manager took me out from physio therapy that was helping me with my recovery and sent me to wsib Doctor and physio therapy that made my injuries twice as worse permanently. Deb Remekie, The lady at WSIB that robbed me of my benefit, she said that I can sell jewelry, she thinks because I am black I can steal jewelry and sell, so she decided to rob me of my benefit. And it's not a joke she said it verbally and in writing. And believed it or not the APPEALS TRIBUNAL agreed with her without a doubt or any question Atal. The Tribunal did not look at my file, apparently they don't even care to look at my file. THIS ORGANIZATION SHOULD OF NOT EXIST IN CANADA     THIS IS CANADA; WHAT A SHAME  Doug Ford <Premier.Correspondence@ontario.ca> Thank you for reaching out with details about your experience with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). I hope you’ll understand that, as Premier, it would be inappropriate for me to comment on or ministry staff cannot comment on or get involved in individual cases.  intervene in your situation with the WSIB. The Board is an independent decision-making body that functions at arm’s length from the government. Response from the Deputy Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development The ministry is responsible for the legislative framework for workplace safety and insurance in Ontario. The WSIB is an independent organization that operates at arm’s length from the ministry and oversees the administration of workplace safety and insurance benefits and services. As a result, the Minister  and ministry staff cannot comment on or get involved in individual cases.
