Could you sell a product knowing that the consumers will die? Well, apparently this guy can. He apparently sends 5 'poison' packages a week to the UK using suicide forums to promote it and is linked to 93 deaths in the UK alone! The article states "The government says the new Online Safety Act, which became law last year should help restrict access to this kind of forum." 'Should' is just not good enough. A difficult and horrible read. #suicideprevention #onlinesafety #suicideawareness https://lnkd.in/eRHsSugx

Coercive control is a pattern of behaviour designed to dominate and manipulate someone, often making them feel isolated, dependent, and scared. Only NSW and Queensland have enacted legislation to criminalise coercive control. Three examples of coercive control include: ➡️ Monitoring activities by constantly checking on the victim’s whereabouts, phone calls, texts, and social media activities, often demanding passwords and access to devices. ➡️ Financial control through monitoring spending, providing a strict allowance, or preventing their victim from working or accessing their own money ➡️ Gaslighting by making their victim doubt their memory, lying about or denying events, or trivialising their victim's feelings This is a national issues and it requires a national response. Responses to this behaviour should not be determined by your post code.
