THE HUB After the research and projects analysis and after having used the forms and shapes of the city of Leeds as the base of my dismantling object, I then proceeded to experiment with reassembling them to generate a new form. So in a way, the building is a deconstruction of the city of Leeds. The fluid lines of the city are the reason for the conceptual idea of this building. As previously stated, the railway line, corn exchange building, the common brick buildings of Leeds, and intersections are some major architecture that was interpreted through my building design. All of this while still taking into consideration all the notions from the precedent projects. And now... With new forms come new functions! #UnitedKingdom #Architecture

Do you know why the covered walkway at Southern College in Lakeland, Florida, is called a "speedway"? Frank Lloyd Wright designed this series of covered walkways, known as "esplanades," to shelter students from Florida’s intense sun and rain. One particular walkway earned the nickname "speedway" not only because it allowed for fast movement between buildings but also because of its design. The low ceiling made the space feel more compressed, encouraging students to move quickly through it rather than linger. Wright often used scale to influence how people experienced and moved through spaces, and the "speedway" exemplifies this concept. Interestingly, this was also the longest covered walkway Wright ever designed, adding to its significance in his architectural legacy. The combination of practical protection from the elements and the psychological impact of the design gave this walkway its fitting nickname. #WellnessDesign #Neuroarchitecture #Architecture #InteriorDesign #HouseDesign #wellnessArchitecture#ArchitectureDesign#Architecturaljournalism#wellnessArchitecture#Biophilia#WellnessDesign #Neuroarchitecture #InteriorDesign #wellnessArchitecture #ArchitectureDesign #florida_southern _College

Animated Forms, Harare Edition House SM Snippet of the proposed renovation of a residential house in Harare, Zimbabwe for a private concrete enthusiat client. What if the buildings we design and live in dancing buildings, with forms that are both grounded fluid. Animated forms have always been the trademark of African Architecture, defying the mundane while embracing craftmanship. I have always believed that giving form to spaces that humans live and work in, a great responsibility that requires something more than what is in the mind of the one who gives form (architect), something ethereal. Life is movement and the animated forms edition is the attempt to give life to stagnant forms through a series of house designs. #architecture #hararearchitecture #zimbabwearchitecture #animatedforms

In case you missed it: The SLB and Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) announced the winners of the Timber in the City 5: Urban Habitats Competition. The fifth installment of the Timber in the City series, this year’s competition challenged students to devise ways of meeting urban housing needs through the addition of an overbuild, or vertical extension, made of wood to an existing building or structure. The seven winning projects demonstrate creative and clear approaches to designing a healthy built environment with wood as a central material, emphasizing the importance of addressing both sustainability and affordability in urban development. The SCA (School Construction Authority), a branch of the DOE (Department of Education), that oversees all construction projects in NYC schools. Here's a design proposal I contributed to for the SCA. In this video, I turned off all the materials to focus solely on the forms and spaces created. Sometimes, it's beneficial to take a step back and concentrate on the architecture itself, rather than getting caught up in the colors and materials used. #SCA #Enscape
