There are several opportunities across the organisation but in a completely selfless move let me tell you about Operations! 🤓 - 6 Municipal Districts - this is a great place to gain experience, with over 160 outdoor staff and multiple service provision there's never a dull day and that's before the reactive work such as severe weather response 🌫⛈️☔️, emergency road closures🛑, etc. - Restoration Improvement and Restoration Maintenance contracts, 130+ schemes delivered annually over 4 contracts. Sustainability 🌿🌍 is strongly embedded here with warm mix being used, Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement and biobinder and we're involved in piloting a carbon measurement tool. - Winter Maintenance ❄️ almost 800km treated with each run, there's a huge amount of hidden work here, the gritters you see are only the tip of the iceberg! - Fleet management 🚛🛻🚚 keeping the show on the road! We've starting our journey to decarbonise but our fleet must meet our future needs as well as current as we transition. - Traffic assets🚦both planned and reactive maintenence and a move from halogen to LED - Public lighting ✨️ 💡 planned and reactive maintenence and the LED replacement project - TII pavement schemes, we've just finished the €4.5M N51 Slane to county boundary and about to start a similar project on the N52. - Road safety - from low cost safety schemes to education and awareness. - Climate adaptation - Bridges 🌉 and culverts - routine inspections and planned work plus plenty of reactive work. - EV charging - policy, plans and strategy development - depot development to ensure we can meet our future services as best as possible.
