"Hire for attitude, skills can be taught" is a valuable mantra in recruitment and career development. Focusing on a candidate's character traits such as integrity, adaptability, teamwork, a strong work ethic can often lead to a more successful hire in the long run and contribute to a positive work culture for the organization. Skills can indeed be taught through training and experience, but a person's character is usually more ingrained. It's important to look beyond just technical skills and qualifications when making hiring decisions to ensure a good fit for the team and the company as a whole. #hiring #recruitment #attitude #culture Lotus's Malaysia Jeremy Hung-Ern Goh Iskandar Johari

Another thing to add on , age doesn't make a difference whereas attitude does. My personal philosophy that upholds.

Can’t agree more Caroline Tay The issue is when you’ve managers who aren’t skilled to hire for attitude, hence they focus on hiring for skills. Because hiring for attitude requires an alignment of values, mindset and approach and are often more difficult and subjective than hiring for skills where it’s easier and more objective to identify. What do you think?
