I booked a demo to try the Vision Pro out as I have been very interested in this sort of technology for years but have yet to have a truly good experience. Takeaways for me were: the AR experience for a usable virtual workspace (my personal holy grail experience) were very promising! The gesture based interface is awesome. However! I was in serious physical pain with the default headband within about 15 minutes. It is _way_ too f’ing heavy. I can only hope the other over-the-top headband helps but it wasn’t an option for the demo. Given that they have the battery already as a separate module I think they had a weird (for Apple) miss on overall usability. I can’t imagine I’m the only one who would struggle with that much weight on my face. Also, the queasy factor I was hoping to not experience was definitely still there. I remember from my Linden Lab days that the research showed as many as 75% of women suffered from motion sickness with VR devices. Not figuring this out means you’re limiting your potential customer base (and therefore revenue) by a lot. I honestly had hoped for better from Apple, especially at this price point. I hope they (or somebody) figure this out eventually… 😕
Outbound PM Principal, Google Workspace. Started and shipped WebRTC, Google Meet, Hangouts Video and Gmail Voice and Video chat.
Last thought before the weekend. The media and bloggers have gone completely quiet on the Apple Vision Pro. It's gonna take time. A lot of time.

Hey LinkedIn fam, it's your Apple aficionado here, coming at you with a fresh take on a hot topic that's buzzing in the tech world. Apple's been my team for years, and my loyalty’s been rewarded with innovation that just keeps on giving. But it's not all smooth scrolling in the orchard of Apple's innovation—there's some courtroom drama unfolding. So, here's the gist: there's a big lawsuit claiming Apple's got a monopoly on iPhone goodness, shaping their ecosystem to keep us, the happy customers, within the warm embrace of iMessages and FaceTimes. And while some might be miffed about 'green bubbles' and app store exclusives, as a die-hard fan, I can't help but admire Apple's dedication to a tailored and seamless experience. But let's keep it light and say we're just watching a corporate game of chess where Apple's king seems to be making all the right moves. Sure, it might not be everyone's cup of Apple cider, but for now, I'm here for the ride, green bubbles and all. Curious to see how this unfolds? Dive into the full scoop here, and let’s chat about it: [America vs. Apple](https://lnkd.in/eYR5yqrV) #Apple #TechDrama #InnovationCulture #MonopolyDebate
