🎁 OUR CHRISTMAS WISH 🎁 The cost of pet products in Australia surged by almost 12% in the year ending June 2023, outpacing the inflation rate for human food. We hear from people every day who are reducing their own food intake, or not eating at all, to feed their pets. Over three million Australians have been forced to cut back on pet-related expenses, with approximately 200,000 households relinquishing their pets due to financial constraints. Animal shelters across the country are reporting unprecedented pressure, with many operating at or beyond capacity. Did you know we have a Pet Food Bank? Stocked by donations and distributed by our volunteers and community partners, it has four primary goals: to prevent pet surrenders due to financial constraint; to ensure pets in disadvantaged households receive proper nutrition; to alleviate financial stress for pet owners facing hardship; and to maintain the human animal bond and its many mutual benefits. As a result of achieving these targets, the greater sector is served through a reduction in surrenders at shelters and fewer preventable health conditions showing at vets. Safe Pets Safe Families need your help to continue to provide these valuable services. Help fulfill "Our Christmas Wish" by making a tax-deductible donation at: https://lnkd.in/gRGT7cNi

Where the Pet Industry boomed and rose after Covid now the increase in Vet Bills has caused a significant impact on the industry. As Covid turned out to be the best time for the Pet Industry where in the United Kingdom more than 50% of people owned pets and surprisingly in America the pet industry started to give competition to the Sports Industry and became one of the Top industries in the world. Unfortunately, for the last 2 years the rise in the living cost as well as in vet bills and pets essentials has led to people giving up on pets and leaving them to sanctuaries and rescue centres again. During this hard time one of the Women who should be saluted named Wendy Isaacs from wiltshire has opened a Pet Food Bank since December, 2022. Many people who have pets come and take what they need for their pets. She also runs a Facebook page of 900 members in which Donars and Beneficiaries both are added. People usually donate Food, bedding and other essentials for Pets. She remarked this as an opportunity to help those in need so they cannot give up on their pets. She states: " Many People come and take donations but also some also leave taking donations when their crisis is sorted out which makes us feel accomplished ". In this hard time where the Pet industry has taken a massive hit the prices and increased in bills should be reconsidered and sorted out to keep the industry booming and keeping pet owners along with their Pets. #UK #ENGLAND #PETINDUSTRY #PETS #PAWSPERFECTOFAMILY #PETLOVERS

Thinking of getting a puppy or kitten? 🐾 Before diving into the joys of pet ownership, it's crucial to reflect on a few key points. Pets aren't toys; they are family members who require time, attention, and resources. Have you considered the annual cost of owning a dog or cat? Estimates show that caring for a pet can run into thousands of dollars over their lifetime. This includes food, regular vet visits, grooming, and unexpected emergencies. The average annual cost of dog ownership is about $1,400 per year over a dog's 10 to 13-year average lifespan. Cat owners spend about $1,150 annually over 13 to 17 years. It's also essential to ensure your home is pet-friendly. Do you have enough space for a playful puppy or a curious kitten? Are there hazards that need addressing? Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment is key to the wellbeing of your new family member. Another important aspect is preparing for emergencies. Veterinary bills can be quite hefty, especially for unforeseen circumstances. Do you have an emergency fund in place? This can make a world of difference if your pet gets sick. As a non-profit foundation, we see many cases where a lack of financial preparedness results in heartbreaking decisions. Prepare, plan, and ensure you're ready for this rewarding commitment. Have you thought about these factors? Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments! ✅ Provide regular vet care ✅ Ensure a pet-friendly home ✅ Prepare an emergency fund Visit Giving4Pets.org to learn more about our foundation and how we can assist you. #Pets #PetCare #NonProfit #Giving4Pets #AdoptDontShop #Rescue

Unfortunately, for now the industry has seen a massive down trend where the people are returning the pets due to lack of resources to provide for their furry friends. Such as the increase in vet bills, increase in all essentials for pets has led to a massive crisis in which there is no space left in the rescue centres and charities which has further led to people abandoning their pets. 🌟 The holiday season is quickly approaching, and if you're in a position to share, it's the perfect time to remember our furry friends in need. 🐾 While we're taking advantage of Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales from businesses like Chewy and Amazon, let's not forget about the pets waiting for their forever homes in shelters and those whose families could use a little boost this year. 😺 Consider purchasing extra food and toys during the sales to donate to local pet food banks or animal shelters. Many shelters and rescues also have wish lists—check with local agencies to see what they need most! You can often find out where your local pet food bank is by contacting other food banks or your local shelter. 🛍️🐶🐱 🐶 You can also sponsor a shelter pet, volunteer your time, or set up collection bins at your workplace so colleagues can contribute. Together, we can make this season brighter for all pets, especially those still waiting for their forever families. 💛 ❤️ And if you need pet food assistance this year, don't hesitate to reach out to your local pet food bank. Food should be a basic right, and everyone deserves to eat, our furry companions included. #HolidayGiving #SupportShelters #PetsInNeed #BlackFriday #CyberMonday #PetDonation #VolunteerForAnimals #ShelterPets #AdoptDontShop #CommunitySupport #PetCareEssentials

Imagine waiting month after month in a small cage for someone to walk by and pick you. It is a heartbreaking situation for many surrendered pets waiting for their chance to be adopted. For cats and dogs that will spend their Christmas in a shelter, PawsCause.org endeavors to make these long-term shelter pets lives a little happier with our annual Christmas gift fund drive. One-hundred percent of the donation we receive goes directly to purchasing cat and dog toys as well as pet food which will be delivered to a local shelter just in time for Christmas. We are a privately funded NJ not-for-profit 501(c)(3) foundation and registered NJ charity. We were formed in the early days of the Covid pandemic to help shelters that saw a surge in surrendered pets. Unfortunately, when families are adversely impacted during tough economic times and chronic inflation, they make the incredibly hard decision to surrender the family pet to a shelter. Keeping these animals out of already overburdened shelters is our primary goal and is the reason we initially formed the PetPantry®. By providing free pet food to our less fortunate neighbors, we strive to lessen their burden and keep pets in their loving homes; thereby, decreasing the likelihood that they are surrendered. In addition to our PetPantry, we provide direct monetary donations to vetted shelters and animal advocacy groups, reimbursement for adoption fees, and our annual Christmas gifts to long term shelter pets. Currently, our Christmas fund drive is in full swing. Will you make a tax deductible donation to help us purchase toys and petfood for a local shelter? Unlike some other charities, 100% of your donation will go directly to helping shelter pets. Your donation is fully tax deductible under Sections 2055, 2106 and 2522 of the IRC tax code.
