Morning! It doesn’t matter how many years you’ve been a low performer, dramatic, or stuck in scarcity. Take China as an example — a country once synonymous with poor quality and a bad global image. Today, it’s the most important and advanced country; there’s no top-tier hardware or software that doesn’t involve them, and their cities are beyond impressive — that’s an understatement. Sure, there are still some old-school folks who haven’t updated their personal operating system and think that "made in China" means low quality and that their people live under oppression. But for those of us doing business with China and who actually know it, man, you have no idea what you’re talking about. So, be like China: world-class, focused on the long game, dazzling. Ignore those who can’t or won’t see your evolution — because there are plenty of us who will be fans of it. —A.

What does it mean to be rich in today’s world? I believe one of the most valuable currencies is our network. But not just the number of connections – the real wealth lies in the relationships we nurture, develop, and transform into a meaningful give-and-take. Where all involved feel valued, whether it’s through sharing personal insights, useful knowledge, or, most importantly, creating the belief that "I am a candidate the labor market needs." In the challenging time of job searching for foreign-born academics, this component is crucial. Sometimes, it’s a single encouraging word or an extra push that makes the difference. Our partnership with companies like Ericsson exemplifies how a two-hour meeting can profoundly impact everyone involved. Not only in terms of what they gain from each other but also in what they contribute. This time the smaller group setup provided expert advice, peer-to-peer exchange, and, most importantly, human warmth and encouragement. With this room behind me, filled with 10 mentors and 42 job seekers, we once again proved the power of connections. It’s inspiring to see company management leading by example and showing how meaningful engagement can bridge gaps and unlock potential. To you, dear reader: consider your company collaborating with Professional Support Center Sweden Support Center. It’s not only about giving back to society but also about discovering untapped talent and fostering empowerment within your own teams. Huge thanks to every participant for enriching our world with a wealth of meaningful connections. 𝗜 𝗻𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. I didn't dismiss its unique market challenges. I didn't overlook the importance of local partnerships. I didn't ignore the cultural nuances that drive success. 𝙒𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙝𝙮? Because underestimating a market isn't my thing. And it never will be. I've made mistakes along the way. I've said and done things I regret. But every correction, every lesson, made me wiser. A few years ago, I realized that even the toughest markets can be navigated with hard work and insight. This thought keeps me going when I feel like giving up. Look, I hope we never settle for failing to adapt. But I also hope we never miss out on the magic of doing business in South Korea. _________________________ Follow me Laura Valls Alvarez and click the 🔔 for more. Sharing some pictures taken in both Jilin and Beijing last week. China continues to amaze in the areas of cultural, techonological and educational practices and promotion. Embracing the new and yet, preserving and showcasing the historical old. The country and people are trying to cope with the evolving world, technology adoption, dynamic mindset and unceetain economy. Wondering how prepared are we to meet new challenges and how can we better prepare to meet them.... Wondering how China and Singapore will fare in 2025 and beyond.... Exploring partnerships and friendships that will strengthen and better prepare us to cope with the uncertainties and challenges to come so that we can live better.. together as one.
