Collaboration! This is one of those terms, such as 'Leadership', 'Team Work' and 'Communication' that are often used by organisations, leaders and teams to make them sound good but are so rarely found to be practiced as well as they are spoken about. So when an opportunity to share an example of an organisation or Programme comes along where these things are both aspirational AND worked towards consciously, I like to do just that and here is one of those rare examples!! The snappily titled East Coast Digital Partnership, or ECDP for short, is a UK rail programme that requires almost 30 different partners from across the UK rail industry, to come together to transform the way the industry deploys and uses signalling. This is an industry that is traditionally a leading example of the Command and Control approach to undertaking major programmes and yet... and yet... ECDP are showing the industry what's possible when we come together, share problems and issues and seek collaboration to co-create workable solutions. That they have allowed me to create a Leadership Development Programme for up and coming leaders, to support the Programme's aspirations to be Highly Engaging, Effective Problem Solvers, Openly Collaborative and both Empowered and Empowering to ourselves and our partners, is testament to the transformative approach this Programme's leadership is taking to supporting this level of change. "When we change our goals we must change our habits", is a phrase they are used to hearing from me and the Pioneer Leaders Programme is a 6 part innovative leadership development programme that is unique in the rail industry for so many reasons: 1. Unique content found nowhere else on the railway (that we know of yet!) 2. Up-skilling key people who work for our partners (to add even greater value) 3. Constantly evolving to meet the unique needs of the audience, sector and Programme So...the next time you hear someone tell you that the Railway is set in its ways, is stuck and is resistant to all change, just remember that all major change starts with a first step and the East Coast Digital Partnership is pioneering one of those first steps!! Antin Infrastructure Partners announces today the enlargement of its Executive Committee and several associated promotions. Antin Co-Founder Mark Crosbie steps down from certain executive functions to dedicate more time to family and private interests. Mélanie Biessy, Stephane Ifker, Angelika Schöchlin and Kevin Genieser are promoted to Managing Partner. Under the leadership of Alain Rauscher, Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO, the newly promoted Managing Partners jointly comprise the Executive Committee now consisting of five members. Simon Söder is promoted to Senior Partner and Head of the London office. The leadership changes are effective immediately.
