Storytime: Hiring Kieren 👨 Back in February 2020, we hired Kieren as a graphic designer through a special program. But when COVID-19 hit and the program got cancelled, Kieren was left without a job. Despite the uncertainty, we decided to keep him on board. This leap of faith led to unexpected opportunities, including discovering Kieren's talent for designing websites. What helped along the way: Being surrounded by talented people, where skills made an impact and a difference. This is inspiring! You probably know what I'm talking about. I am thinking of... 💭 Passionate Product Designers who were so dedicated to simplifying the user experience that their enthusiasm to "simplify things" became a company-wide mantra. 💭 Accounting experts who can think lean and service-oriented, relieving the whole organization by introducing practical processes and policies. 💭 Marketing gurus who dare to challenge the USP and positioning of the product, ensuring it reflects the true essence of the offering and fits customer needs. We just ran a Voice of the Customer survey to help us learn from our users and improve, this might be my favorite submission ❤️ I often talk about how hiring is * hard * and we exist to help everyone in the process be great day-in, day-out. 💪 The was in response to a question about how they'd describe BrightHire to a friend or peer: "BrightHire is like having a knowledgeable friend alongside you during the hiring process." There were many awesome pieces of feedback in the VOC survey, but this bottles up exactly what we aspire to be for our users. Way to go BrightHire product & eng team!
