Gallup's recent report reveals that unhappy workers could reduce global GDP by up to 9%, or $8.9 trillion. Only 23% of employees feel engaged at work, underscoring the importance of prioritizing employee well-being and morale. Interestingly, although the U.S. and Canada lead in engagement levels, they are also ranked second among employees experiencing daily stress. Prioritizing employee well-being isn't just ethical—it's essential for economic success. Let's create workplaces where employees can thrive. #EmployeeEngagement #WorkplaceWellbeing #GlobalEconomy #Leadership #Productivity
The United States and Canada touted the highest regional percentage of engaged employees in 2023, at 33%. However, the employee experience is still lacking in other areas — the U.S. and Canada region also has the second-highest percentage of employees experiencing stress a lot of the previous day. 62% of employees globally are “not engaged”. Not those who complain, openly voice dissatisfaction and actively challenge the status quo , but “quiet quitters” who spend week after week living with “whatever” and “it is what it is” 🤷 attitude. Whilst the former’s active engagement, albeit disruptive, shows a desire for improvement and is often a catalyst for positive change, the latter perpetuate a culture of mediocrity, where disengagement becomes normalised and accepted. Even more importantly, feeling like passive victims of the circumstances, not standing up for our beliefs and not living our values is the bleak fate no one deserves. Let’s keep reminding each other to live authentically, knowing we’ve done everything possible to live our best lives with purpose, meaning, passion and joy. #Gallup #careerdevelopment #LivingAuthentically #employeeengagement #ProfessionalIntegrity #NoRegrets #CareerCoaching
