How to buy the best tequila ? Choosing the right tequila can seem like a daunting task, given the wide variety of brands and types available on the market. I’m sharing essential tips on how to choose quality tequila at the store. 1️⃣ Ensure the label states "100% agave" to guarantee pure tequila crafted from blue Weber agave. Avoid tequilas labeled "Mixto," as they contain a blend of agave and other sugars. 2️⃣ Understand the categories: Blanco is unaged, offering pure agave flavor. Reposado is aged up to a year for a smoother taste. Añejo and Extra Añejo are aged longer, providing rich, complex flavors. 3️⃣ Inspect the bottle: Quality tequila is often found in well-crafted bottles. Look for details about the distillery and production process, as they can signify a superior product. 4️⃣ Consider reviews and ratings: Check reputable sources for reviews and ratings. Awards and high scores are reliable indicators of quality tequila. KAH, crafted from 100% blue Weber agave, offers award-winning Blanco and Reposado varieties. Comment ‘KAH’ in your comments to let me know you liked this video and want me to share more info on how to enjoy tequilas. The aroma of tequila is where the magic begins! Sipping 52 the right way means starting with the nose. Inhale slowly, letting the rich aromas awaken your senses and prepare your palate for what’s to come. Before you even take that first sip, lean in and breathe deeply. Let the captivating scents of agave, fresh citrus, spicy pepper, and maybe a hint of vanilla or oak wash over you. This isn’t just drinking; it’s an experience. As you bring the glass to your lips, you’re not just tasting tequila—you’re connecting with its heritage, its craftsmanship, and its flavor complexity. Are you a tequila drinker? With Memorial Day and summertime coming up, there will be a lot of backyard barbecues and get togethers at the beach. For those who love tequila and want to host a fun tequila tasting with their friends, there are many new tequila on the market these days, including Entremanos' Tequila Blanco, an artisanal, small-batch tequila made with purpose and also additive-free. Entremanos’ Master Distiller, Jaime Villalobos Sauza, offers some tips for doing a proper tequila tasting session on your own: 1. Observe the appearance: begin by pouring a small amount of tequila blanco into a clean, clear glass. Take a moment to observe its appearance. Blanco tequila should be clear and colorless, with a brilliant shine. Note any viscosity or “legs” that form on the sides of the glass when you swirl it gently. 2. Appreciate the aroma: bring the glass to your nose and inhale deeply. Blanco tequila often exhibits bright, vibrant aromas with notes of fresh agave, citrus and herbs. Pay attention to any floral or fruity undertones. Swirling the glass gently can help release more of the aromas. 3. Taste with attention: take a small sip of the blanco tequila and let it linger on your palate for a few moments. Then take a second sip as the first sip simply prepares your palate for deeper taste exploration. Now notice the initial flavors that greet your taste buds. Blanco tequila typically offers a crisp, clean taste with prominent agave notes. Look for hints of pepper, citrus and earthiness. 4. Assess the texture: consider the mouthfeel or texture of the tequila blanco as you sip it. Is it light and smooth, or does it have a bit of weight and richness? Blanco tequila is often described as refreshing and light-bodied, but there can be variations in texture depending on the brand and production process. 5. Evaluate the finish: pay attention to the finish, which refers to the lingering sensations and flavors and how they evolve over time. Cheers! Different Types of Tequila Whether you’re a long-time tequila fan or you’re just starting to explore it, there’s a lot to discover about this historic Mexican spirit. This includes several types of tequila with many interesting differences between them. Today, we’re breaking down the various types of tequila: 1️⃣ Blanco (Silver): Blanco tequila is either unaged or aged for less than two months in stainless steel or neutral oak barrels. It is clear and crisp, showcasing the purest agave flavors. 2️⃣ Reposado: Reposado, meaning "rested," is aged between 2 months and 1 year in oak barrels. This tequila has a smooth flavor with notes of oak, vanilla, and caramel. 3️⃣ Añejo: Añejo, or "aged," tequila is matured for 1 to 3 years in small oak barrels. The aging process imparts a richer, more complex flavor with hints of chocolate, spice, and tobacco. 5️⃣ Extra Añejo: This category includes tequilas aged over 3 years. Extra Añejo tequilas are luxurious, with deep flavors and a velvety smoothness, similar to fine aged whiskeys. 6️⃣ Joven/Oro (Gold): Joven, Oro, or gold tequila is a blend of Blanco and aged tequilas, often with added coloring and flavoring to give it a golden hue. It is typically smoother than Blanco but not as complex as aged varieties. Experience the diverse and rich flavors of tequila! Whether you prefer the pure, unaged taste of Blanco or the luxurious, complex notes of Extra Añejo, there's a tequila for every palate. Let me know in the comments below which one you've tried! Reading a Tequila Label to Understand its Quality When you look at tequila labels on bottles you’ve purchased, it’s probably to admire its design and artistic style. But there’s so much more information to be had, if you know what you’re looking for. Let’s take a look at the different components of information that make up a tequila label. 1️⃣ Just as Champagne is exclusively from France, Tequila can only be produced in Mexico. It comes from five designated regions, with Jalisco, the heart of Mexico, being the main area for premium tequila like Rooster Rojo 2️⃣ For super-premium tequila, look for '100% de agave' on the label. This means it's made entirely from top-quality blue agave, offering a superior taste. 'Mixto' tequilas, which don't have this label, are mixed with other sugars like cane syrup. 3️⃣ Tequilas vary from unaged to aged. 'Blanco' indicates an unaged, pure tequila with the fresh flavors of agave, root vegetables, delicate floral, and citrus aromas. 'Reposado' tequilas are aged in Bourbon barrels, resulting in a warm golden color and a rich, smooth palate. Red Rooster, a special bird in Mexico featured on the label. It's a national symbol, representing the sun, courage, good luck, heroism, and pride in Mexican culture. This tequila has won 26 top international awards. I am tempted to try this tequila. Are you? Comment with ‘Rooster Rojo’ if you'd like to see a video of me tasting these two tequilas in my next video. VBev #sonalholland #masterofwine #tequila #spirits #alcohol #drinkresponsibly #tequilatips

The differences between Tequila Blanco, Joven/Silver and Cristalino. Blanco tequila is the tequila that is bottled directly from distillation, therefore it is the youngest and strongest. Silver tequila is a tequila that usually rests for a few days in barrels, which gives it a softer flavor than white but with the same freshness. Finally, cristalino tequila is the softest of these 3 due to its aging in barrels and its filtration through activated carbon, which is why it also makes it complex. Now that you know the difference you can choose your best choice, this does not mean that one is better than the other, but rather that you can have a favorite one for specific occasions. It will depend on your tastes and needs to choose which one is best for you. #Tequila #Spirits #DrinkResponsibly

Are you ready to showcase the best of what your distillery has to offer? We're thrilled to announce the Tequila Mezcal Challenge, a unique opportunity to put your spirits in the spotlight! In the world of spirits, few debates stir as much passion as Tequila vs. Mezcal. Both distilled from the agave plant, these Mexican spirits share roots but differ in flavor, production, and tradition. 🔥 Tequila is known for its smooth, often sweet profile, perfect for sipping or mixing in cocktails. It’s usually made from blue agave and cooked in industrial ovens, giving it that clean, crisp taste. 🌪️ Mezcal, on the other hand, embraces its rustic origins. Produced using various agave species and roasted in underground pits, Mezcal has a smoky, earthy flavor that makes it stand out. 💡 The Challenge: Tequila Lovers: Sip on a highland or lowland tequila and appreciate its nuanced citrusy, herbal notes. Mezcal Aficionados: Savor the complexity of a well-crafted mezcal—each sip tells a story of artisanal methods and ancestral traditions. The real question is—can you choose a favorite? Or do both have a place in your spirits collection? 🤔 Whether you're a Tequila loyalist or a Mezcal adventurer, the key is to savor the experience and respect the craftsmanship that goes into each bottle. Let's raise a glass to the diversity of agave spirits! 🥂 #Tequila #Mezcal #Spirits #Agave #Cocktails #DrinkTrends #CraftSpirits #MexicanHeritage

Mixology is about more than ingredients. Techniques like carbonation can elevate your cocktails, adding fizz and effervescence. Try using a soda siphon or carbonation system to infuse bubbles seamlessly into any drink. Experiment with different levels of carbonation to find the perfect balance and mouthfeel for each. Alternatively, incorporating ingredients like tonic water or sparkling wine can enhance flavors and textures. With careful attention to carbonation, you take your craft cocktails to the next level!🫧 #CraftingCocktailFizz #ElevatedMixology #CarbonationTechniques #FizzAndFlavor #CraftCocktails

Tequila 52 Cristalino embodies the essence of Mexico, its spirit captured in every sip. But this liquid masterpiece takes a remarkable journey before gracing your glass. The story begins in Mexico, where rows of blue agave – the heart of tequila – bask under the warm sun. Tequila 52 sources only the finest mature agave, harvested by hand using the traditional "jima" method. Experienced jimadors, armed with their unique tools, carefully extract the piña, the heart of the agave plant, ensuring the purest quality. The piñas are then expertly slow-cooked in brick ovens, unlocking their natural sweetness. The resulting agave nectar undergoes fermentation, where natural yeast transforms the sugars into a low-alcohol liquid. Tequila 52 Cristalino utilizes a meticulous double distillation process. The first distillation produces a raw tequila, while the second hones its smoothness and character. This dedication to quality results in a spirit bursting with agave flavor, free of harsh impurities. Here's where Tequila 52 Cristalino takes a unique turn. Through a proprietary filtration process, the spirit undergoes a charcoal filtering stage. This meticulous process removes color molecules, resulting in the crystal-clear liquid you see in the bottle. Tequila 52 Cristalino is a testament to both tradition and innovation. Each sip is a journey – from the sun-drenched agave fields to the artistry of distillation, culminating in a crystal-clear expression of pure agave tequila. Experience the magic of 52 for yourself. #tequila52 #thoseintheknowknow #52 #casacincodos #cristalino #makingoftequila52 #whatiscristalino #typesoftequila #tequila #sippingtequila
