🌸 Daughters Day: My Journey to Independence and Growth🌸 On this Daughters Day, I want to reflect on the rollercoaster of becoming independent. It wasn’t an easy path—living far from home, navigating the challenges of finding a job, and eventually shifting my career focus entirely. One of the biggest turning points came when I realized my initial career path wasn’t working out. After hearing stories from others who pursued higher education and relocated for better opportunities, I knew I had to make a change. That’s when I came across the role of a Business Analyst, and I decided to dive in. Months of hard work followed—learning business analysis, data visualization, and SQL. It wasn’t easy, but I kept going. Finally, after many applications, I got the interview call I’d been waiting for—and an offer letter soon after! 🙌 Today, I’m happily working as a Business Analyst, a role that truly aligns with my goals and passions. 💼 To all the daughters out there, I know it’s not easy, but the journey is worth it. I’m grateful for everyone who supported me along the way, and I’d love to hear from YOU: - What’s been your biggest challenge or breakthrough? - How has your journey to independence shaped you? Share your stories below, and let’s inspire each other! 💪💖 For better reach: Varsha Chitikaneni , Simala Om Prakash, Raushan Kumar,Shivani Khandelwal,Shashank Singh 🇮🇳,Thodupunuri Bharath,AMAN KUMAR,Aditi Gupta,Adithya Ram Parisa,Munna Das,Raghavan P,Rahul Shimpi 💎 #DaughtersDay #JourneyToIndependence #WomenEmpowerment #CareerGrowth #BusinessAnalyst #CelebrateWomen

𝗔 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝘆 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 Dear City of Greater Sudbury, Over 1,200 hours working with extraordinary people for an important project. Seven team meetings gave me an interesting Analytics Consulting world and endless inspiration. Nineteen 45-minute weekly check-ins with my leader that shaped my project. One Division meeting about mental improvement and technical discussion at Northern Water Sports Centre. The mid-evaluation presentation and final evaluation were great opportunities for me to receive feedback. All of this and more are done with the DAC Division. You allowed me to explore different Data Analytics tools. You provided me with many experienced leaders and peers to learn from. You taught me to move out of my comfort zone. You gave me a professional place to learn and work and bring my passion to my placement job Data Analyst. Everything I learned I will carry forward. Thank you for the relationships I formed. Thank you for your unwavering patience as I step day by day. Most of all, thank you for instilling confidence in me that I could take on Data Analytics career. 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗜 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝘆 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 I learned a lot in my placement, but these are the top three. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Think about what direction can drive the most business value first, then dive in. I made three questions before diving into the research. This helped me get the right direction to gain valuable insights. 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 Just as in any sport, you make gains by moving out of your comfort zone. I learned from the unknown and spent time researching and self-teaching. For example, I have not been confident about my coding in R before, but now my technical ability has been upgraded. Most of all, I understood that I was not in it alone. 𝗔𝘀𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 I think that no one is going to give me what I need or want unless I ask for it. When roadblocks arose, I learned to tell my superiors what I needed to move forward. For instance, when exploring the data, to understand the total dataset, I contacted peers who knew the data fields. When I had trouble with installing R packages, I asked for IT help desk to get their support. In a nutshell, the most valuable thing I gained from this internship is the actual experience. I cannot experience these when working with Kaggle’s sample data. I would like to thank you Glenys, Krista, and Renee, for your warm welcome in my first week. You gave me constant support and brought me closer to the team. Thank you, Colleen, for having so much patience with me. You have truly inspired me to be a better version after the short period of my placement. Cora, Tina, Danielle, and Kassandra, I want to thank you all for being supportive teammates. I enjoyed our meeting hours every Tuesday! Thank you all for an amazing experience! I hope we cross paths again in the future.😊

When it comes to interviewing for a job in analytics, most people focus on the wrong things 📊 Usually candidates spend their prep time on hard skills, technical problems, coding questions etc. That’s all important, but it doesn’t really capture what it takes to be successful in a fast growing business. Especially at a company where analysts are embedded in product squads and charged with driving the strategic decisions of the team (like Cleo 👀) We optimise towards this: 👉 Connecting the dots: Understanding what users are doing and how to shift the outcome 👉 Moving fast: Knowing what matters and focussing on it 👉 Story-telling: Turning insights into opinions, making these widely understood, influencing We’ve found these qualities contribute to a high performing team and preserve the impact-focussed culture we’ve worked so hard to create. I'll link below a few articles I really like that expand on this thinking: https://lnkd.in/e6jBHtcy https://lnkd.in/eCkEHXnd .…And now that you know how to hack Cleo’s interview process, you can have a look at our open roles below! https://lnkd.in/eJnprcuM #productanalytics #analytics #analyticsinsights #analyticsjobs

Imagine discovering a job that doesn’t just pay the bills but also brings a smile to your face every morning. Sounds like a dream? Well, it doesn’t have to be. Five years ago, I was stuck in a loop, clocking in hours at a job that drained my spirit. Every morning felt like a battle, and every night, a sigh of relief. Then, I made a choice that turned my world around. I stumbled upon a small startup that was hardly noticed by the big names in the industry. Their mission was simple yet profound—to make educational resources accessible to underprivileged communities. It wasn't just about the job; it was about the impact. My role? A simple data analyst. But here, every number I crunched, every report I generated, helped someone get closer to learning something new. Days became exciting, filled with challenges that mattered, and work didn't feel like work anymore. It felt like a part of something bigger, a mission I was passionate about. The transformation was not just in my professional life but in my happiness and fulfillment. P.S.: Find something you genuinely like, a job, a company, an organization—the process is the entire thing one must aim for. It’s not just about reaching your destination; it’s about enjoying the ride.

🚀 Excited to share my recent project on Employee Attrition Analysis during my data analyst internship! I explored patterns in employee turnover, identifying key factors influencing attrition rates. By leveraging data visualization and statistical techniques, I provided actionable insights to improve retention strategies. This experience enhanced my analytical skills and deepened my understanding of workforce dynamics. Looking forward to applying these insights in future projects!
