I completely agree with this statement. Taking a stand against injustice, unfairness, or threats to safety is crucial, and it's essential to model this behavior for the next generation. When speaking up, we demonstrate to our children the importance of advocacy and the power of their voice. Even if the impact of speaking out isn't immediately visible, it plants the seeds for change and reinforces the values of integrity and courage. When we confront these issues, we are not only addressing the immediate problem but also contributing to a culture where silence in the face of wrongdoing is not tolerated. This can lead to broader societal changes over time, as more individuals feel empowered to take action. Teaching children to recognize and challenge inequities helps them develop a strong moral compass and prepares them to be proactive, compassionate adults. Our actions today can inspire future generations to continue the fight for a just and safe world, fostering a legacy of positive change and resilience.
On this #Juneteenth, a company holiday at Thrive Global, we use this day to reflect on the history of the day, and those, like the late Rep. John Lewis, who sacrificed so much in the long struggle for justice and racial equality.

The 60th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act is a moment to reflect on the immense progress made in advancing equality and justice for all. This landmark legislation, signed into law in 1964, outlawed discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin, and paved the way for a more inclusive and equitable society. While we have come a long way, we must also acknowledge that THE FIGHT FOR TRUE EQUALITY IS FAR FROM OVER. There is still much work to be done to address systemic racism, inequities, and barriers that continue to marginalize and oppress communities of color. As we celebrate this milestone, let us rededicate ourselves to the unfinished work of the civil rights movement. By standing united, amplifying diverse voices, and taking action to dismantle oppressive systems, we can honor the sacrifices of those who came before us and build a future where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. #1964CivilRightsAct #60Years #CivilRights #Equality #EqualityMatters
