Here is an update on the planned Casino activity in New York City, as companies are vying for one of 3 licenses planned to be awarded in 2025. Some of these proposals are massive; we will be ready to support their projects fully at NewYork.com! Several prominent organizations are competing for one of the three new casino licenses in New York City. Here are some of the key players and their proposed locations: Related Companies: They are looking to develop a casino in #HudsonYards, a significant mixed-use development in #Manhattan. SL Green Realty Corp.: Partnering with Caesars Entertainment, Inc. and Roc Nation, they plan to develop a "boutique" casino at 1515 Broadway in #TimesSquare. Thor Equities Group : Along with Saratoga Casino Hotel, The Chickasaw Nation, and Legends, Thor Equities is planning a $3 billion casino in #ConeyIsland, #Brooklyn. Wynn Resorts: In collaboration with The Related Companies, they have proposed a casino in the Hudson Yards area. Hard Rock International: They are considering various locations in New York City, with strong interest in Midtown Manhattan. New York Mets owner Steve Cohen: Cohen is exploring the possibility of a casino near #CitiField in Queens. MGM Resorts International: With existing operations in Yonkers, they are a strong contender for one of the licenses. Genting Malaysia Berhad Group: Already operating RESORTS WORLD CASINO NEW YORK in Queens, they aim to expand their footprint in the city. Hampshire Hotels Management, LLC: In partnership with various stakeholders, they are exploring a casino in the Midtown Manhattan area. Bally’s Corporation: Bally's is also in the mix, considering several potential sites within the city. These organizations are preparing extensive proposals to meet the state's requirements, including securing local community support and ensuring compliance with zoning laws.
